SPRUCE PINE, N.C. A cat named Perdita may be the "worst cat in the world," but a social post by a North Carolina animal shelter made her one of the most sought-after felines in the world.
According to the rescue's Facebook post, Perdita has found her forever home after 175 adoption applications were sent to the rescue
The post said that after narrowing down the applications to the top 10, staff conducted interviews, checked references and had some interactions with possible future families.
Perdita chose her adopters after a successful meet and greet, according to the post.
The post said the "world's worst cat" will be leaving for Tennessee with her new parents Saturday.

She’s beautiful and I’m in love :0)
That's MY kind of cat!...............Now if she just disliked Taylor Swift as well......................
Oh, I hope the other 174 prospects find other little ones to comfort them!
Even The Aristocrats????
You SURRRRRE you want to teach your cat: “The Aristocrats”? :P
Feral Cat,they suck no way to sugar coat it.
Useless
Sis brought one home to my Maw(87yo),if it wanted something it was”tolerable” (but barely), if not it was nasty and mean. It sucked.
Took it back to the sisters farm as an out door and was gone in a few days and good, cat sucked
It's funny how some little thing will stick in your brain for decades and this article triggered my memory of an anecdote I recalled from one of those,"Life In The United States," columns. A couple had a dog that had a litter of seven puppies. Instead of running the typical, "Puppies: free to good home" ad, they ran an add listing the six "cute" puppies for $50, and offering to give away the one ugly runt for free.
Inevitably, people would come asking for the runt, and in very short order they were able to give away all seven of them :-)

I adopted a feral MANY years ago LADY K was her name she showed up in my yard and I started feeding her after about a year I was able to get her into the house!!! She was the WORST cat I ever owned could get near her she would hide only came out to eat couldnt love on her or pet her I had the cat for 14 years before she passed and after ALL that time NOTHING ever changed!!!
Feral cats are dangerous especially to a thin skinned 87 year old.
The one I referred to belonged out side and to stay out side where it was conceived and grew up.
Not how long it takes from birth to whenever to be come nasty but once its seen it has set in.
Its an animal thing.
IMO the peps that adopted this cat will dump it some where and or some how.
Liberalism is a mental disorder, they think they can “Change the Cat”,no frigen way.
PS: you didnt own Lady K and never could. It was a wild animal.
She sounds like a cat that belongs on a farm, catching mice and living in the barn....
yup its all they are good for
A feral cat is a feral cat... you can’t “unferal” one...
This cat, sounds like she’d be a perfect mouser/barn cat for someone... which is fine.
People think they are going to change them, if they just give them enough love, are the same fools that think if you just show compassion and befriend the bully they won’t bully you...
Sorry, but that ain’t how the world works...
Want a housecat, get a kitten and raise it as one.. got a bully, show him you are not going to be an easy target... Even if you lose, fight back.
Poor thing was probably abused.
I adopted an older crotchety cat and in short time, she was jumping on my lap. I was the only one who could pet her without her growling or wanting to scratch or bite. We just had a connection.
Unfortunately, she got cancer & died within 2 yrs. : (
But I was glad I could give her a loving home for those 2 last years of her life.
