Wouldn’t bring it up today but you did. The woman came from a wealthy family. She didn’t do anything for money. She had been treated badly for a year by the media. She wanted a public apology; she got it. She declined to be made a bigger victim by the media by going to a trial.
The police got all the evidence, the physical evidence that she had been harmed in a rough sexual situation and they had a medical report.
When they went to Kobe he claimed there had been no sex. When they told him they had blood and physical evidence, he admitted to “consensual sex.”
Sorry, I’m not going to idolize anyone and the woman went through enough. She made a big mistake going back to the room in the hotel where she worked. She kissed him voluntarily. He didn’t settle for that.

I was specific to point out that I didn’t know the salvation status of Kobe Bryant.
And if I’m going to be truly honest with myself, nor do I know yours. But everything I know about salvation through Christ tells me that someone who has truly accepted Christ into his heart could not make the comments you have made about Kobe Bryant today. You have no idea what his spiritual status was and what relationship he may have had with Christ at the time he died.
I realize there is a chance you are having an awful day or time in your life and another day you may regret what you posted. You are being quite disingenuous when you say there are some here who don’t see rape as different from speeding.
But the relevant point is that truly repenting and accepting Christ as your savior would absolve one of both sins. All sins.

NO, if you are a VFR pilot caught in weather you shouldn’t be in, you declare an emergency and notify ATC that you are in inadvertent IFR and need help. They can direct you.

I have to make this comment. Why do we as a society, publicize the death of certain people over others just because they have a certain skill or are on TV or well known on social media? My friend Brandon died on Friday. He was a good, honest hard working man.
I do not know a person named Kobe Bryant. I never met him. While his and his daughter’s death is tragic, just like all other deaths, I still just do not understand why folks have a need to publicize his death over the death of others. Just look at the number of threads about him on FreeRepublic. At last count, it was 12. In contrast, 2ndDivisionVet, a man I only knew on FreeRepublic, got one. Most get nothing.
I know some folks, if they read this comment, will consider it cold. However, it is a simple observation and is best made when such an event like this one occurs.

Not sure which “side” of this discussion you are on, but air travel is literally thousands of times safer than auto travel.
