Color me puzzled.

I had a colonoscopy a couple of weeks ago. I was wheeled into the operatory, given an injection and I was out like a light. Anything after that point would have quickly done the job without cruelty.

Yeah, that’s pretty obvious to most folks. People get “put out” all day every day. Then the doctors do their stuff, and the person wakes up in the recovery room. It’s really no big deal. And if we decide that they shouldn’t wake up, they would never know.

The issue of “humane” execution isn’t an issue at all. What it boils down to is: some folks want to kill babies and don’t want to kill murderers.

You were put out by a nurse anesthesiologist.

Execution needles are basically administered by people off the street. Doctors and nurses typically don’t participate.

So it’s given by someone untrained in administering it and no knowledge of dosage and are at a complete loss to correct if something goes the slightest bit awry.

Kinda hard to know when something’s not working right when you’re not monitoring blood has levels, etc.

Yeah. I also once heard some doctor proposed executing people with heroin. It is definitely lethal at the right (over)dose. And, you know, it’s not bad while it’s happening.

This didn’t sound like the worst idea to me, but I’m an old 70s hippie!

Put 'em under, remove any parts usable for transplant, drain all blood for transfusions, and dispose of the remainder however you wish.
