The family of Kristin Smart, the California college student who vanished 23 years ago after attending a party near her school, was reportedly told by federal agents to be prepared for news and to secure a family spokesperson.
Denise Smart, the woman's mother, told the Stockton Record that she was contacted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was told to "be ready."
"This is really going to be something you don't expect. We want to give you the support you need," she said she was told.
The report said the FBI was not clear on what the development was, she was told that her family might want to "get away for a while," and she should secure a family spokesperson.

Is it even English?
Why on earth would the family need a spokesman?
Somebody in the family is responsible?
It’s been a while since I listened to Paulides, but I don’t recall him actually attributing any cases of missing persons to the ‘paranormal’. He just leaves it up in the air, and hasn’t developed a ‘theory’, except that he believes these aren’t explained by ‘conventional’ means.
Why on earth would the family need a spokesman?
Somebody in the family is responsible?
I’d guess she is alive and the situation surrounding it is not good and will attract the media.
I thought maybe you were channeling this guy.
(Caution: potentially disturbing material - may cause simultaneous laughter and vomiting)
If she is alive, the family would be told that immediately no matter the circumstances.
We had a neighbor who disappeared from his yacht while sailing alone off San Diego. Not a trace or clews. The area is used by pangas carrying illegals. But this was day time. Sad story. Leaves the family clueless.
surely had some sort event that caused him to fall overboard and not be able to get back onto the boat and then swallowed by the sea. right?
no they are recommending that they get away from the media circus after her death is announced.
Thats not true.. Some do, but most, especially those who have been around the block a few times and arent looking for future aspirations in politics etc prefer not to have publicity.
It's 100% true.
It's not about a future in politics, it's about feeding the paycheck and pension.
If it were me: “Just tell me, dammit!”
That was my first thought. But they should have waited until they got all their ducks in a row and then told the family everything. Not this cryptic hooey.
Why would the feds think they’d need to have a spokesperson and hide out? Why would a 23 year old case need to have that much publicity? If it is that PF dude, well, everyone suspected him at the time so it’d be headlines for 3 days and that’s that. If it were the neighbor, same thing and quickly forgotten. If she’s alive, then the msm would be focused on trying to get the story from her but not her family.
Last one of his videos I watched he stated he always goes into the woods with armed back-up and that its definitely not of this world what is happening with disappearances in parks/forests.
Hes on coast to coast a lot and an avid Bigfoot enthusiast, which is in itself a paranormal topic.
Hes attributed disappearances to people vanishing without a trace (de materializing) or disappearing into thin air.
Hes also mentioned the numerous clusters where folks vanish - like a portal of some type. Who knows?
Maybe the FBI knows the family are Trump supporters. There's nothing too cruel for a Trump supporter in the FBI's mindset.
The big takeaway from real crimes shows is don’t hang out with scum. That alone should eliminate 98% of LE being involved in your life.
But we already knew that.
I think he goes into the woods armed because he may have to defend himself against something definitely ‘earthly’.
I will have to listen some more, but I don’t remember anyone disappearing into thin air before a witness. I remember stories of people being on a trail with others one moment, who then couldn’t be found; but in wilderness that can happen easily.
(A lot of the people who believe in ‘Bigfoot’ don’t believe it’s supernatural at all, but a species that has been able to survive largely without being discovered.)
From the link - “The Smarts filed a $40 million wrongful death lawsuit against Paul Flores in November 1996, alleging that Flores murdered Kristin at Cal Poly. The Smarts would later add Cal Poly to the lawsuit, alleging the university failed to keep their daughter safe.”
How a university is responsible for keeping her safe is beyond me.
Hope the LE at least kept his mattress the dogs hit on.
The evidence is ultra high Paul Flores killed her.
This doesnt mean shes been found alive
