Why did Pelosi delay sending the articles of impeachment? She wanted Trump to come to her on his hand and knees begging that he be spared the embarrassment of impeachment. Because it is IMPEACHMENT FOR LIFE! Nothing can withstand the stigma of impeachment thought Nancy and her Nancy boy Schiff (who'll probably get a STAR on Hollywood's Walk of Shame). The wrath of Pelosi is too cruel for words for she is a woman scorned by Trump. Excommunication of Trump was her only option and she took it gleefully with many "solemn and sorrowful" fist bumps. The dirge without a casket shows how she has dispensed with her enemy. Yes, now the world knows the true story -- don't tango with Nancy or she will tangle you up like a fly in the nest of a black widow spider.
I thought there was some practical strategy that she was using. But NO! It's just personal, heartfelt vengeance. Any thoughts about the delay?

The impeachment circus is only for 2020 campaign purposes. An exoneration before the election would not work to the Democrats’ advantage.

Also, it was a shot across the bow for Bernie Sanders, as he has to be off the campaign trail at a very critical time, the Iowa Caucus. It also put a crimp in Elizabeth Warren, but that was of little importance.
The field is now much more open for Joe Biden and surprisingly, Mike Bloomberg.

She wanted maximum news coverage. That wouldn’t happen over Christmas and New Years
She wanted to canvass RINO deep staters and feel them out - especially in Senate - to gauge any chance of success.
She gambled that perhaps McConnell would waver on the witnesses.
Anyway - it was ALL a long shot. Americans are bored of it. They have already seen through it. “Impeachment” becomes a bigger farce, day by day.
Now, she’s only delaying her ultimate embarrassment.

4. DONATIONS. Dems way short of money from big donors. Hold off sending articles to keep the money flowing and make sure they have a war chest.
5. Time for the Clowns in America to get the ‘talking points’ to the press.
6. Hoping Trump would cut a deal and not prosecute and expose people.
Multiple reasons to wait, no good reason to rush.
