I will argue that the Trump win in 2020 is a foregone conclusion.

The impeachment is a vindictive attempt to destroy the President in History. Although he has and is overcoming obstacles, the impeachment black stain can never be removed.

When these people are all thrown in jail the ‘impeachment’ by the criminals will be exposed as their attempt to avoid prison, and it will become meaningless.

This will be an impeachment with an asterisk “*”. It is a first in many ways, so it will be talked about in history classes and beyond for a long time.

Which means people will be talking and comparing the impeachments of BJCLinton and Trump (who beat BJ’s wife in an election)...for a long time. And as the current political leftist hacks w/ their psychological illness in radical demokrap politics die off, a picture (the truth) will emerge and the demokraps in Congress and media will be known as the vindictive, corrupt, hypocrite, losers not worthy to be any where near the levers of the people’s government. Trump will be seen as one completely from the outside and look what the vast political machine did. He will also be the first POTUS re-elected despite the impeachment, which undercuts the demokraps even more - the people rejecting their abuse of power called impeachment.

My sense on the street, unlike Clinton’s, is a big yawn. Many average people can cite at least one of Clinton’s felonies; but exactly what is it that Trump did wrong - the average person doesn’t know. This is a DC-media event. Trump appears to have lawyered up quite well.

. .. the impeachment black stain can never be removed.

Unless, of course, the impeachment is clearly shown at trial to have been a criminal coup attempt.

In the future, as long as we don't go over to the world of Orwell's 1984, this impeachment will be seen as a black stain on the democratic party.

A hyper-partisan witch hunt that forever ruined Impeachment with the stain of politicians getting even, rather than a grave Constitutional crisis and once-in-a-lifetime remedy for executive-level crimes.

The impeachment will be a matter of the historic record, that is true.

Historians have largely discredited the Andrew Johnson impeachment. History may well judge Donald Trump’s impeachment as being just a sham and politically-motivated.

The only ones who will truly have a “black stain” in history from this unconstitutional coup will be the seditious, traitor-party DIMs. I spit of their putrid “legacy”.

Don’t overlook the fact that impeachment is also about Dems taking the Senate. If not this year then in 2022 when the Senate map is very unfavorable to the GOP.

Impeachment is not a black stain.

You watch too much cable TV.

I read somewhere that because there is no proof of any High Crimes or Misdemeanors that perhaps Trump could appeal to the USSC because the impeachment was unconstitutional.
