For the first time since 2002, the Tennessee Titans are heading to the AFC Championship. Mike Vrabel's team finds themselves on the doorstep of a Super Bowl berth after stunning the No. 1 seeded Baltimore Ravens, 28-12.
Tennessee carried the momentum from their Wild Card upset of the Patriots into Baltimore and essentially had this victory secure from the jump going on a 14-0 run to start the game. They were able to get on the board first after Tennessee safety Kevin Byard picked off a tipped pass from Lamar Jackson, one of his three turnovers on the night. Ryan Tannehill, who completed half of his throws for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and company took the ball 35 yards down the field and ended with a tremendous touchdown grab by tight end Jonnu Smith. After stopping Baltimore on a fourth-and-1 attempt on their next offensive possession, Tannehill came back onto the field and immediately completed a 45-yard touchdown pass to receiver Kalif Raymond.
While the Ravens were able to put up a couple of field goals before halftime and had some momentum heading into the locker room at the break, the Titans were able to go on a back-breaking third-quarter run that pressed their lead over 20 points and essentially put the game out of reach. A large part of that is thanks to running back Derrick Henry, who rushed for 195 yards and he even passed for a touchdown.

Jackson is a “Flash in the Pan” who will be out of the league within 5 years.
Jury is still out on Mahomes, let’s see how he does tomorrow.
Early on, I figured it would be Mahomes and the Chiefs.
Yep. His antics could not survive 40 hours of Mike Vrabel in the video room.
Titans got a monster RB...he had almost 200 yards. Tannenhill can def hit the long passes. Nice balance..Titans will make it to SB...not sure theyll win it, but they will advance.
"Just keep matriculating the ball down the field, boys!"
I ran into Charlie Fog.
Well, about 10 more years and he might evolve into a mature QB.
I can't really disagree with that. Maybe he was one of those athletes who was coddled all through school. He did have some great runs this game though.
If KC plays GB in the Super Bowl I believe itll be a rematch of Super Bowl #1. I also think Bart Starr faced off with Len Dawson in Green Bay and it was a cold mutha. GB won.
Watch out guys,
It seldom turns out the way it does in the song
Im mistaken. It wasnt in Green Bay. GB beat Dallas to get there. It was played in CA. GB still won.

Derrick Henry is a F’in beast G! See, the real problem has to do with the playoff bye. Teams tend to sit on their ass and get lazy. There should be NO first-round byes or #1 or #2 seeds. Everyone should have to play the week after the end of regular season, or give ALL the playoff teams a bye and eliminate the extra week for the Super Bowl.
Wasnt just him, the whole team was outplayed today. The Titans were 100% prepared and ready.
Yeah, that whole McCoy/Cousins/RG Me soap opera kept us ‘Skins fans entertained for five minutes, until we saw it was turning into another Snyder BOHICA moment. I have no faith in that team, the Rivera/Del Rio regime, or anything else to do with that franchise, until Snyder is forced to sell it by the league. He destroyed that team. It’s worth little more than a defunct USFL game jersey. It’s nothing but that stumpy little bastard’s shiny playtoy.
On the other hand, the bye really helped San Francisco.
Agreed! If you got the momentum, baby, you ride the crest of the wave. It’s all about psychological warefare at this point. You lose that edge for a minute, then you get tonight. And I was pulling for the Ravens.
No, Minnesota simply sucks and the 49ers are a great team with the best defense probably since the legendary ‘85 Bears. As much as I am a Packers fan, I’ve already conceded that the Packers probably won’t beat Seattle tomorrow, and even if they do, they’ll get shellacked by the 49ers anyway.
Too bad College FB couldn’t have a real playoff like every other sport.
