Virginia Democrats have introduced a revised ban on so-called assault weapons that requires existing gun owners to register their firearms with the state, and also bans outright the possession of magazines that can hold more than ten rounds as well as a ban on suppressors and trigger activators.
According to the legislative summary by Delegate Mark Levine, HB 961:

Suppressors are NFA items regulated by the BATFE.
They cost hundreds of dollars and each one has had a $200 tax paid for it.
They will introduce these bills, they will pass some and then they will be challenged legally at SCOTUS.
Virginia Democrats may get it back, good and hard.
You cant blame those away from the beltway. The crowded beltway is the problem. Those in conservative counties should secede from the state to form a new state or move to NC or WV.
While it is true that suppressors (and full autos, for that matter) are regulated and taxed by the BATFE, federal law also states that such items are only permitted to be owned by people who BOTH follow all of the qualifying rules on a federal level AND do so in a state that permits such devices. I used to live in NJ, and even though I could have easily qualified to own a full auto, state law forbade it (and still does), so the BATFE won’t approve any such application.
“So you say you want a revolution...”
CWII is just around the corner.
There are thousands already owned.
Welcome to NY.
We have had this same problem for 100+ years
So they want to cut off the fingers of anyone who owns a gun. Got it.
Been living here for 70 years. Can and do own all types of toys. All legal. Never owned the nasty black rifles that must be reported though I did have to get rid of some magazines. Actually made aluminum blocks to make them 10 round.
Would leave tomorrow if it werent for an aged MIL and a wife that wont leave her.
Same thought here.
I suggest a lawmaker’s house have a crowd visit it, all day all night!
I wouldn’t put it past them.
Truth is, we’ll never know if those missiles were purchased before or after the agreement was signed and the funds released.
I would agree somewhat with the comment that Redplum made that making unproveable statements is probably not a good idea. I also say the same in the gun control context - especially about that false Yamamoto quote regarding a gun behind every blade of grass. The point is that facts and logic are on our side, so we don’t need to resort to making crap up like the Left does all the time.
Big difference between a flash suppressor and a silencer.
And VA is looking to ban them. As do several other states. ATF will not approve a tax stamp if the state prohibits an NFA item.
There are already thousands owned.
