Lawyering for someone over a Pokemon card shows that Zaid is in touch with the common man.

How do you ever prove that the actual card was actually mailed?
There are numerous possibilities and I dont see how this ends well for the collector.

Any particular reason this was posted in the news forum?

The seller will have a tracking number, and probably sent it registered mail. The post office keeps stuff like that in locked cages.

Anyone with 60K to spend on a playing card can afford to lose it, like I’m sure he will when this is over

No.3 Trainer (Pokémon Card Game Official Tournament promo)

But this is the card they are talking about:

According to Alkhajas suit, he has proof that the seller, who hails from Iowa, insured the card for $50,000 with the US Postal Service before mailing it from North Liberty, Iowa.Good luck collecting on any insurance claim from the USPS, especially for $50K. It must have been shipped registered mail, since you can only insure for up to $5000 with other services. It's a good bet that someone in the post office stole it who was in position to know the insured amount.

Happy memories. Even better, our side street was a steep hill and it was paved with bricks. We got a 2-fer on our bikes.

There was a guy on Pawn Stars with a $350,000 collection of Pokemon.
I don’t understand.

Yep. When I was in Vietnam about 1/4th of all packages our families sent to us “disappeared” along the way in the postal system. Nothing new here.
