Do the New Orlean Saints have a Minnesota Vikings curse?
Posted on 01/05/2020 1:35:49 PM PST by MNJohnnie
So despite another awesome effort to tie it up and send it to OT, the Saints lose to the Vikings again in the playoffs.

No. They just have stupid players in the secondary who don’t know to not let receivers get behind them.

Saints defense is not playoff caliber.
Against the run, or against the pass.

Saints come up small in the playoffs again. I wish Brees would win one more SB but same ole results.

Didn’t they beat the Vikings on a last second field goal that year they won the Super Bowl?

I don’t know. That Cook [sp?] guy seemed to get mostly negative yardage. Saints shut him down big time in last half. Good game. Both good teams. I do not expect Vikings to win the big one this year, but the football bounces in strange ways.

Brees gave up the ball and the Saints because player was a third string gadget QB. Brees is too old and he’s not going to win another ring.

Life long Saints fan, yes they do have a Vikings curse, and they also have a slow out of the gate in the post season curse.
Congratulations! And Cousins seems like a very good guy.

Most famous play....

Pathetic clock management by coach at the 2:45 mark not taking a time out. Cost the Saints three plays at least. Could have used them at the end of 4th qtr.

The Aints have won a Super Bowl. The Vikes are 0 for 4. The Vikings will choke next week or the week after. After all it’s what they do

Now Drew Brees and Tom Brady can watch the Super Bowl together from the couch.

Do the Saints have a Vikings curse
The Rams used to have one. The southern California team lost four playoff matches against the Vikings in a row, with both sides having three different quarterbacks (for the Rams, Roman Gabriel, James Harris and Pat Haden). It didn't help that the Rams had to go to a cold outdoor stadium in Minnesota for the first three matchups, and when the Rams finally earned a home game in Los Angeles, torrential rains created mud bowl field conditions that didn't help 5'9" Pat Haden. The Greatest Show on Turf edition of the Rams broke the curse once and for all.
