I was gonna make a NYC crack that prepared for me is having enough Jack Daniels and Italian food in the basement to last six months.
But if you’re Better half is having a Lot of health issues, i’m gonna take 10 minutes time out now to pray for her.
That’s one of the few ways of prepping that I know.
I’ll say some for you too since it’s tiring taking care of someone when going to the hospital and getting the meds and taking care of a million other things. I KNOW you certainly don’t mind, but that don’t make it any less tiring.
Ciao and have a good day
Ping for later
Our family each has their own grab and go back; strap on and grab the bag and go.
Who is Selco?
Selco survived the Balkan war of the 90s in a city under siege, without electricity, running water, or food distribution.
In this online course he gives an inside view of the reality of survival under the harshest conditions. He reviews what works and what doesnt, tells you the hard lessons he learned, and shares how he prepares today.
He never stopped learning about survival and preparedness since the war. Regardless what happens, chances are you will never experience extreme situations like Selco did. But you have the chance to learn from him and how he faced death for months.
Real survival is not romantic or idealistic. It is brutal, hard and unfair. Let Selco take you into that world.
I have been meaning to send you the following to add to your vast treasure trove of SHTF/Prepper related publications, but I’ll just post it here for all:
Internet Archive (Main Page): https://archive.org/
Medical/First Aid Publication: https://archive.org/search.php?query=medical+first+aid&page=5
Manual Library (Extensive): https://archive.org/details/manuals?&sort=-downloads&page=13
US Military Manual Collection: https://archive.org/details/military-manuals?&sort=-downloads&page=2
Firearms Manuals: https://archive.org/details/firearmsmanuals?&sort=titleSorter&page=2
OSS Documents & Publications: https://archive.org/details/office-strategic-services?&sort=-downloads&page=2
Archive.org is completely searchable, and contains files, documents, etc. from the web (Wayback Machine), books, video, audio, software and images.
I particularly enjoy the pdf ebooks on great historical leaders from the 19th Century. There are lots of ebooks on the American Civil War, for example.
BTW, Archive.org is free (although they would like a donation). I have found that for me pdf files are the most easily read formats with the least optical character recognition (OCR) issues.
Finally, I almost forgot, not all documents are “yours to keep.” Some ebooks are “on loan” for about 2 weeks, and may even have a waiting period to get them.
I’m certainly not an expert on using Internet Archive, but the site has some “incredibly good” material.
If our fellow Freepers find a “stash” of information they like, why not share it with the rest of us.
I have had a prepper domain for over ten years. But I dropped off from the idea of helping others with knowledge. I came to the realization that 99 out of a 100 of these folks I help would hit me over the head and take my goods in a heartbeat if and when it really hits the fan.
