An alarming mug shot documents the extent of a man’s injuries after he was nearly beaten to death by a father who allegedly caught him naked in his toddlers’ bedroom.
The incident unfolded in Spotsylvania, Virginia, on Sunday morning, when the father, who went to check on the children around 6:30AM, encountered Mark Stanley, 60, naked from the waist down standing over the children, ages 2 and 3.
“When the family member opened the children’s bedroom door, he found the suspect, Mr. Stanley in the room with the children nude from the waist down,” reads a statement from the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office.
“When the family member questioned what he was doing in the room, Mr. Stanley pushed the family member out of the room, then locking [sic] the door. The family member forced entry into the room and began beating Mr. Stanley.”
Police found the father with a handgun when they arrived.
Sheriff’s Capt. Liz Scott told the The Free Lance-Star the father was so upset police essentially “had to rescue the suspect from further injury after responding to a 911 call.”
“Scott said the father had already obtained a weapon and that deputies may have saved the suspect’s life,” reports The Star.
Police say Stanley, who is from North Carolina, was in Virginia visiting family for the holidays.
Stanley faces two charges of indecent liberties with a child and one count of domestic assault.
The children were taken to the hospital for evaluation, which could result in more charges being brought against him.
The father was not charged.

Nah, that’s no where near "nearly beaten to death," that’s only mildly beaten. He’s got a broken jaw, and perhaps a broken orbit around his left eye. He looks too good. If it had been my kids, the coroner’s wagon would have been called.
The pedo would be dead if it were me and the body would never be found.
apparently the perp was a houseguest visiting from north carolina now being held without bond..

Most dads would likely bring about ultimate justice.
If an arse wipe is in your kids bedroom nekkid(sic) from the waist down, I believe he has passed the stage of being alleged.
If he is considered alleged, then the report should say the father allegedly hit the dude and the dude has an alleged swollen eye.
Actually the guy is lucky that is all he has to show for his stupidity.

What sheer idiocy in this reporting-— worried about an “alleged” naked from waist down 60 year old man in the father’s house— in the toddlers (2 yr old) bedroom. That “ain’t” alleged. One could hope there is video surveillance of JUST what the HELL this paedophile was doing— naked from the waist down.
But the press-— noooooo, they’re worried about the “life” of the pervert, and somehow we must all accept perverted behavior. We don’t, and if the father was a friend of ours— we’d have held the dude down and put a soldering iron to his nuts. This is beyond any “acceptable” behavior. He should be locked up for life— but they won’t. So—a tracking chip, and constant surveillance— he will do it again.
And no he was not "nearly beaten to death", if he was near death, he would not have been standing for that mug shot!
The police should have given the dad just a few minutes more, preferably with the weapon. Now the perv will either be out of jail before long and up to his evil tricks, or the taxpayer will pay to keep him alive, and for what?
