“Your freezer is +32 degrees.....”
That’s where the residents of Antero Reservoir go to warm up.

If your freezer is at 0C/32F it is broken. It should be below -18C/0F and good ones are -30C/-20F.
I gotta crank it down some more.
Food stored at 0° Fahrenheit or below is safe to eat indefinitely (although quality and taste may be compromised after a while). While many foods will freeze at about 32° Fahrenheit, they need to be stored at 0° Fahrenheit to slow down deterioration, so colder is better.

I was just to the north of it, when the temp went down to 51 degrees below zero one night in 2015.
It was on that day that I learned that -40C (which they use in Canada) is the same as -40F.
Confirming that it is winter in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
I’m in Vail and it was -8 this morning. I had an errand to run and actually saw a kid in a t-shirt and shorts. It is 0 right now at 10 pm. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be in the 30s, though. Heat wave!
Just got back from skiing a few minutes ago. Going through Hartzell this morning, which is close to Antero Reservoir, the temp was -15 degrees. Coming home about 1 hr. ago it was -25 degrees.
Sounds like you missed the cold weather. :)
Just lucky, I guess. lol!
We did see a herd of about 20-30 elk along highway 24. It looked like they were hitch hiking trying to get their tail out of there. They were on both sides of the highway.
