Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid: Progressive Insiders Want Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to Run for President
PJ Media ^ | 29 Dec 2019 | Michael Van Der Galien

Posted on 12/29/2019 7:22:42 PM PST by Rummyfan

This is downright frightening: according to leftwing website Politico, progressive insiders and activists "are increasingly whispering about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez inheriting the movement one day -- and running for the White House with it behind her."

We on the right love to laugh at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC as she's also known. She's a fool. She favors policies that America can't even almost afford. She's so radically pro-open borders that she'll destroy the Democratic Party's chances of winning next year if she becomes one of its most vocal spokespeople.

However, there is a major problem: progressive activists and other kinds of leftwing radicals are starting to push her to play a more prominent role in national politics. See this article at Politico.com for example. In it, some (purposefully chosen) leftist activists and "insiders" are interviewed, all of whom say that AOC is the future of their movement -- and, they hope, of the Democratic Party.

[[It’s downright frightening how stupid a lot of people are.]]

You said it- The country elected a destructive socialist who ruined our economy, and did nothing to make this country great- and not only that they elected him to a second term- despite massive price increases and high gas prices- Never underestimate this country’s inexplicable desire to ‘try something new and exciting’ just for the sake of trying something different just to be different- and never underestimate people’s greed- when they hear “Free this that and the other thing too” what little sensibility they had drains from their minds in a nano second-

THANKFULLY President Trump was able to swing enough independent votes, and motivate conservatives enough that He became president- At least independents recognized he was a great business leader and could be good for the country financially- Let’s just pray that they don’t soon forget and decide to be different again and hire the ‘first female president’ just for the sake of trying something new and ignoring the fact that she really is quite dumb- and dangerous

Oh good grief. Why don’t they just import Jeremy Corbyn so we can get this over with.

What, with the left's disdain for Natural-Born-Citizen, Corbyn could easily qualify for and become POTUS.

She does nothing for her district and they know it. She’s got a primary challenger so she maybe be gone soon. She only won 13,000 votes last run.

They laughed at Hitler, too.

And unfortunately, like Hitler, AOC is a product of our cultural miasma. Youth culture on steroids, decadent ruling class, huge underclass, overfeminized society. She will win over many of like — and empty — minds.

In her first debate she’ll be made to look like the idiot she is. Beauty never equated to brains.

AOC is not out there alone. Today’s Democrat Party is full of people as extreme as AOC. I see no evidence of any movement to the middle nor do I expect any.

The Democrat Party continues to move leftwards. Thus AOC will be around for some time to come.

Within weeks of becoming a Congressman she changed the agenda of her party and subsequently all of its Presidential nominees which is no small feat.

Scott Adams pegged her as soon as she won election in 2018:

SHE HAS MAJOR-LEAGUE PERSUASION SKILLS. As in “Trump-level persuasion skills”.

Of course, she is still young and green and far more prone to mistakes as a result - but she has nuclear-level persuasion skilld and we need to take her dead seriously. If too many people ignore her and write her off as a “moron” we may wake up one day with her living at 1600 PA Ave. For real.

(WTH do you think we are all talking about a first-term Congresswoman from NYC on this thread otherwise???)

Within weeks of becoming a Congressman she forced pelosi into an impeachment-political-suicide-pact which WILL NOT be forgotten by the legacy dumbocraps.

"she is controlled by a group called the Young Turks. They are actually part of a foreign group that are interfering with our elections."

You have nailed it. People need to understand the connection between AOC and Marxist operatives of the Justice Democrats working behind the scenes as her puppetmasters. From Wikipedia:

"Justice Democrats is an American progressive political action committee founded on January 23, 2017, by Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk, Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, and Saikat Chakrabarti and Zack Exley, former leaders from the 2016 Bernie Sanders presidential campaign. political action committee founded on January 23, 2017, by Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk, Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, and Saikat Chakrabarti and Zack Exley, former leaders from the 2016 Bernie Sanders presidential campaign."

The Justice Democrats have George Soros connections.

You will notice Saikat Chakrabarti. He was AOC's chief of staff. She had to drop him from his position after the FEC launched an investigation into Saikat Chakrabarti for campaign finance violations. He is one class act.

All members of the "Squad" were recruited and promoted by the Justice Democrats. This method where activist groups promote candidates corrupts the normal method that the parties select candidates. They wouldn't have got elected without the JDs.

I call her “Miss Zanti Misfit’’. I don’t know how old you are but there was an old sci fi program in the ‘60’s called “The Outer Limits’’. One really horrific episode dealt with a spaceship full of horrible little ant like creatures from a planet called “Zanti’’. It stared a young Bruce Dern. You can find it on You Tube.

Our failed education system harboring progressive liberal mentally ill personnel have given us AOC and all that follow her, Bernie, warren and the rest of the idiots running. She shows us that an empty head with a mouth that keeps on spewing ridiculous uneducated inexperience is not important to her followers and the DNC, its her passion, her caring, and shes not ugly like the rest of the man beasts in the party that make her attractive to the dolts

”- and not only that they elected him to a second term- despite massive price increases and high gas prices- ”

The GOP did not run a credible challenger to Obama. The people were fed up with Obamacare in 2012. The Republicans ran Romney, the liberal architect of Romneycare. Even the most uninformed voter could easily surmise Romney would do nothing to repeal Obamacare if re-elected. Second, Romney openly dissed the Tea Party and refused its support, clearly communicating he wanted nothing to do with the conservative agenda. Third, Romney made his money in the private equity world where companies were bought, stripped of assets, and production sent offshore. Not the resume to endear him to the blue collar voter. Fourth, candy Crawley and Barack Obama set him up in one of the debates and instead of fighting back on the public stage he looked like a deer frozen in the headlights of the approaching car. Certainly not presidential, Five he was unable to articulate a vision for the country different from the socialist progressive direction Obama was taking.

Romney was mush and appeared weak. The people knew what they had with Obama and Obama’s Democrat base liked what he was giving them. Republicans knew Romney wasn’t a conservative and could only hope the liberal elitist globalist former governor of the most progressive state in the country wouldn’t be quite as bad as Obama, Independents couldn’t determine what Romney stood for and therefore how he would be an improvement on what they had with Obama.

It was Romney’s job to define himself. He failed, perhaps because he has no vision. The GOP also failed by putting up a weak candidate. Obama was beatable in 2008, despite the collapsing economy, but McCain totally blew himself up. in 2012 Obama was beatable by a strong candidate who would fight to win and had a strong alternative vision.

Don’t blame the American people for declining to vote for mush. They had already experienced faux conservatism under George W. Bush and found it unsatisfactory. Romney at best appeared to be Bush revisited — another punching bag for Democrats. At worst, the smackdown of Romney on the debate stage suggested in a real national emergency he would be missing in action. No one believed Romney was another Reagan.
