It appears OSU took THE loss. Nice come from behind for Clemson.
So did OU but in their case, it was not the refs--
How did we... miss that?
Well, so many refs... so little time--
There was a horendous call in that game too that changed the momentum. LSU was up 10-0 and OU had a nice drive going. Refs butchered an obvious PI on third down causing OU to punt. LSU just rolled after that. Might have been a different game if that drive continued and OU had scored. Not likely but again referreeing sucks.
In the 1940 NFL Championship game, the Bears recorded the most one-sided victory in NFL history, beating Washington 730. After the game, Redskin's quarterback Sammy Baugh was asked what would have happened if his team's' first drive had resulted in a touchdown. He shrugged and replied "What? The score would have been 73-7."
Speaking of Sling Sammy, a 26-person blue-ribbon panel voted on the NFL's All-Time Team, a collection of the 100 greatest players and 10 greatest coaches in the league's 100-year history. This week's reveal was the series finale, which included the following 10 quarterbacks picked: Sammy Baugh, Tom Brady, John Elway, Brett Favre, Otto Graham, Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Roger Staubach, Johnny Unitas.
Sammy was the only QB picked from the NFL early years from 1920-1949. And he played both ways back then, an All-Pro cornerback. It was a much different game in those days.
Also, 'Captain America' Roger Staubach was the only QB that won the Heisman Trophy.
AND I feel they snubbed Terry Bradshaw and he should have made the cut instead of Dan Marino.

Meanwhile it's week 17! Here we go.
Sunday, December 29, 2019
Green Bay at Detroit 1:00 pm FOX Ford Field While Detroit has shown some sporadic sparks, I don't think Rodgers and the Packers are going to jeopardize their seeding by dropping this one. And just who is the Detroit QB this week?! Packers.
Cleveland at Cincinnati 1:00 pm FOX Paul Brown Stadium Bragging rights for Ohio on the line. The Browns, for all their dysfunction, will win this one, now that it means nothing to their standing. Browns.
Chicago at Minnesota 1:00 pm FOX U.S. Bank Stadium Don't think a win or loss improves the Vikings playoff position in any way. And they were simply offensively terrible against the Pack last week. But the Bears... but Mitchell Trubisky.... I don't know. Home team rule. Vikings.
L.A. Chargers at Kansas City 1:00 pm CBS Arrowhead Stadium There is no doubt. Kansas City. Chiefs.
Miami at New England 1:00 pm CBS Gillette Stadium New England has the second seed wrapped up. They may take it easy today but even taking it easy the Phish will sink. Patriots.
N.Y. Jets at Buffalo 1:00 pm CBS New Era Field A good tune-up for the Bills heading into the playoffs. Bills.
New Orleans at Carolina 1:00 pm FOX Bank of America Stadium New Orleans is on cruise control. The Panthers are a total car wreck. Saints.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay 1:00 pm FOX Raymond James Stadium What's the over/under on how many INTs Jameis Winston will throw today? The Falcons have shown life, too little too late to save their season, but maybe enough to save Dan Quinn's job. Falcons.
Washington at Dallas 4:25 pm FOX AT&T Stadium The Cowboys need a win to keep their hopes alive. The woeful Redskins will oblige. Cowboys.
Indianapolis at Jacksonville 4:25 pm CBS TIAA Bank Field Two teams playing out the string. The Colts under Frank Reich are heading in the right direction at least; the Jags are a disaster. Colts.
Arizona at L.A. Rams 4:25 pm FOX Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum A lost season for the Rams. They played well in some games, but not enough to get into the postseason. And the Cards... well. Things are looking up. Cardinals.
Oakland at Denver 4:25 pm CBS Empower Field at Mile High Time was the Raiders were fighting for the AFC West Division. Seems like a long time ago... Broncos.
Philadelphia at N.Y. Giants 4:25 pm FOX MetLife Stadium A win and Philly is in. I don't see the G-Men stopping them, although they will them a battle. Eagles.
Tennessee at Houston 4:25 pm CBS NRG Stadium Houston wins to end the Titans surprising season. Texans.
Pittsburgh at Baltimore 4:25 pm CBS M&T Bank Stadium A totally meaningless game for the Ravens and they have already announced that about half their starters will be sitting it out. Given that I think the Steelers eke out a W and get in the postseason dance. Steelers.
San Francisco at Seattle 8:20 pm NBC CenturyLink Field How desperate are the Seahawks? They resigned Marshawn Lynch off his sofa this week. Whether that will make any difference I don't know. Whereas SF is relatively healthy and has that great D. Gotta go.. with San Francisco! Niners.
A Wonderful Happy New Year to Everyone! Good luck with all your picks!
The Pats performance is forcing me to finish the Str of Schedule for PT vs Oak. SOV could end in tie.

I’ve discovered NFL redzone is where it’s at.
I can’t believe they let the Lions get in FG range there.
What’s the weather next weekend for:
Minn @ Green Bay ?
Minny’s backup D is embearessing Chicago.
