I don’t know if you are a Christian or not, but I have sympathy for the mother as well as obviously, the little ones. The only positive thing that I can see is that the babies died so young that they never reached the age of accountability. They therefore, did not face the Judgement that all adults face when they meet God face to face. (Yes, I know that Believers escape His wrath, through their faith in Jesus Christ.)
I have sympathy for the mother because of the depth of her mental illness. The killing of her two kids can only be describe as mental illness. I also feel sympathy for her because her actions strongly suggest that she did not know Jesus and now is subject to eternal exclusion from God’s Presence. THAT is something to feel sympathy for.
Interesting that this photo is credited to the Suffolk County District Attorney. Is it her Driver License photo, or did she have some sort of prior contact with the DA’s office?

Psychotic depression is one of the more dangerous depressions. It is a mixture of agitation, delusions, paranoia and usually anger/fear.
All the self-rightous drama queens on this board who want to pretend that they knew what was going through this woman’s mind, have never faced and dealt with the tragedy of psychotic depression and the aftermath.
Mental illness is a THOUGHT DISORDER. Thinking is not working logically nor is it working in the time frame of here and now with an understood cause and effect.
The real sinners in this story is the leftist mental health system abetted by leftist legal system that does not permit hands on apprehension of psychotics until they are an imediate danger to themselves or others. Imminent risk. No one could touch her until that was the case.

The feminist agenda says that whatever the facts, women are always the REAL victims. This applies even when a woman murders her children.
I first noticed this in the 1989 Betty Broderick case. She had murdered her ex-husband and his new wife in cold blood, breaking into their home and shooting them in bed. I listened to a radio talk show that had female caller after female caller blaming the dead ex-husband for the murders, never hinting that Broderick was responsible for her own horrific actions.
Sickening stuff.
No, but she did kill her children, and the media was all, “Poor Andrea”.
Mothers who murder their children do it to punish the father of the children.
That does unfortunately make a sick kind of sense. What better way than to punish a person you helped make?

I doubt they think of it as punishing the children. More likely they think of it as the only way they can be sure their children will not have to endure suffering in a world whose misery, real or imaginary, that they themselves cannot endure. In their twisted way of thinking they are saving the children from a potentially awful existence- the same attitude that leads people diagnosed with terminal illness or people who must leave pets for other reasons to have their perfectly healthy pets put down rather than risk leaving them to an unknown future.
It could also possibly be a form of narcissism - a belief that no one else could ever love and care the pet or child as much as they have...or it could just be selfish preemptive jealousy, a self-centered fear that their children or pets might actually love a stranger if they got a chance.
