Batten down the hatches, Cap’n, and make sure you put out every pot and pan to collect rain water! ;)

Dig some up and put them in a smaller pot. Probaby better in a garage than a house.
Most hens and chicks are hardy to zone 3, probably zone 4 or 5 in a pot. Just don’t let them get soggy. That’s Sempervivum . Another species may be less hardy.
And don’t cover with leaves.
Short-season tomatoes that I have grown with great success in the past are:
‘Juliet’ - paste type, good for drying
‘Jaune Flamme’ - small slicer, grows in clusters, very tasty!
‘Early Doll’ - Medium-sized red slicer
‘Jet Star’ - Full-sized red slicer
‘Mountain Merit-F1’ - An AAS winner, full-sized red slicer
Hour-long video of birds and critters at a ‘Traveling Bird Feeder.’ (Sled) Fun shots with hidden cameras, etc. Lots of birdsong if you’re missing it as much as I am these days!

Only early doll would qualify as a short-season tom for us, but thanks.
Thanks for the ping. We’ve had lots of snow here-no school all week. Brought most of plants indoors. Still have some chives and turmeric in the greenhouse.
Good news arrived in a Christmas card-my niece has moved out of California and back to Missouri.
As usual for winter, I have been canning meat specials. This week was beef arm roast. I also found some short ribs and made a great big batch of beef and bone broth in the crock pot.
When the beef was falling off the bone done, I chopped it up and froze some and had beef stew and beef casserole with the rest. Then I returned the bones to the crock pot to make the bone broth. It makes a good warm drink for lunch-sometimes I add a spoonful of cream to the cup.

You could try wrapping the it in burlap - lots of it, or leaves if you could get them to stay put. Plus maybe find something more translucent to cover it.

So you were a “close to Christmas” baby .... my brother was born on my dad’s birthday (19th) so he was the “ultimate” birthday present from my mom (so she says). Both guys have often gotten combo birthday/Christmas presents .... that’s easier to take when you’re older, but not so much as a kid.
A little story - when my dad was born, he was the last kid my grandmother had .... she had 7 (first one died at birth). The 6th child wanted a “teddy bear” some kind of bad ... asked for one often, but they were a farm family & poor, with no money to spend on toys. When dad was born, his mom handed him to his sister and said “here’s your teddy bear”. She died just short of her 94th birthday 5 years ago .... her mind was going a bit, asked my folks “who is that lady you brought with you” the last time I saw her. So sweet though, wanted to hold my hand when they told her who I was. Anyway, one thing she never forgot .... that my dad was her “teddy bear” and she always called him that. We have a picture of them sitting on the sofa together during our last visit. “Teddy Bear” turned 97 two days ago. :-)
