Today’s Cryptogram

Today’s Cryptogram

From The Arkansas Gazette

ZH RQN CKYX PFQOMXSVX, MXU QUCXIG MZVCU UCXZI AKFSMXG ZF ZU. --EKIVKIXU HNMMXI

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Solution to our last puzzle:

THE DEGREE OF RESPONSIBILITY YOU CAN TAKE FOR YOUR LIFE DETERMINES HOW MUCH CHANGE YOU CAN CREATE IN IT. CELESTINE CHUA

A big welcome to:

Well, I have egg on my face. I sent out a clue for yesterday's puzzle "Oh My Darling" thinking that it would evoke the song about "Clementine." No one knew what the heck I was talking about. Turns out I erroneously had the author's name wrong. Celestine not Clementine. Not only was I wrong, but the number of letters didn't even match up. Wow! I think I've been to too many office Christmas parties this week, as my head is a bit fuddled. Well, at least it proves that I try and solve these along with you people. Today's CG should be fairly easy for you sleuths. Yes, the first two words are what you think they are.

Glad to be here.

Figuring out the double letters all ways helps me. And then the two letter words.
