That is a very mature letter for a seven year old.
I give him little chance of getting a nice dad (stepdad) for Christmas.
Nice stepdads are very hard to come by.
Moms that hooked up with abusive men and manage to escape their clutches typically find another abusive twit to replace him with.
Man bad, is what this is about.
Call me heartless but this does not ring true.
a lot of men need to grow up. a lot of women too. the children are watching
A mother coaching her child against the father. That would never happen.
Mom should find a Bible believing church and make it the biggest priority in her and her son’s life.
I would guess that is the last thing she will consider, otherwise her son wouldn’t essentially be praying to Santa Claus.
I have everything, materially, I could ever want.
I want NOTHING.
I have no idea why this season makes people buy things for people who want and need NOTHING.
Then again I am in Virginia where for the first time in my life we’re seeing homeless drug addicted people begging.
Maybe what I want is a red state again.
but dad got everything he wanted. a true FR hero.
Calling fake on this one...
Don’t we get this story every year?
For all the above remarks, yes, the kids can be coached but no matter what, an innocent child is in the cross hairs. I’ll be Santa to a few hundred needy kids in San Bernardino this Saturday and I will hear some interesting requests. I always remind them that Jesus is the reason for the season and that God loves then. They all get candy and a nice present afterwards.
What a heartbreaking story. I hope he’ll get a great stepdad in 2 years.
