Princess Leonor of Spain is not your average teen.
The 14-year-old heir to the Spanish throne nicknamed Spains Disney Princess for her flowing blonde locks delivered an important speech at the Princess of Girona Foundation awards in Barcelona on Monday amid a backdrop of anti-royal street protests aimed at her father, King Felipe Vi, 51. (Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, a semi-autonomous region in northeast Spain whose push for independence has resulted in the countrys biggest political crisis in decades.)
To make matters even more daunting, Leonor who holds the title of Princess of Girona also delivered the speech in English and Catalan, as opposed to her native Spanish.
From a very young age, our parents have told us about Catalonia, Leonor said in her speech, according to El Pais. Thanks to them we know more about Catalan history and culture. This land, Catalonia, will always occupy a special place in my heart.

Do you wish to be lectured by children?
Actually she struck me as the anti-Greta LoL.
****************
No. This is a dangerous trend.
I would rather be lectured by a child who loves her country, than by a certain former first lady who was never proud of hers.
Me to. . .and she wasn’t lecturing/harping on adults, she was speaking politely of a “local” subject.
Everytime I see photos of her I can’t stop staring ...
I don’t talk to children.
I tell them what to do...
She was delivering the government line on a “local” subject that has generated violent mass demonstrations, a referendum, and a government crackdown, just in recent years. The fact that she’s a cute young lady and did it in a nice way doesn’t change the facts.
In my opinion, it was a poor decision to put a young teenager in that position. It’s unlikely that she is, herself, a stone cold government shill, but whoever planned the display is one.
“I dont talk to children.
I tell them what to do...”
Wow! They would be in their rights to tell you to go F yourself.
There is an ancient Spanish tradition of teenage princesses being significant independent political players.
And it is the Spanish monarchy that is the core of Spanish unity after all. Spain was created by the unification of crowns, and THAT was done in large part through the will of a teenage princess. Also a blonde, coincidentally.
We disagree.
Impotent Royalty.
High premium style over substance.
Spain is a hot mess of socialism on the brink of economic collapse.
“on the brink of economic collapse.”
You do realize just how often Spain has been “on the brink of economic collapse”?
This is so typical and regular that, well, it does not figure. Go back in history and tell us when Spain was NOT on the brink. The brink is reached, passed, and the problem is weathered, and Spain sails through, every time, on to the next “brink”.
Spain has had quite a good 2019 actually.
You better watch out or them Qtards will chase you through
imaginary tunnels and take away your Adrenochrome stash.
One thing though, she was speaking about a “local” issue, not ranting and raving against the world.
Cheers
More class than that Greta child.
I dont appreciate kids being used in this manner. IIRC, the first time I noticed this was during the Dem 2004 Convention when a 14 year old girl shouted Shame on you George W Bush! Several times. Totally appalling. But the Dems have USED kids many times (the most disgusting was the childrens choir telling us how Obamas going to change things, and rearrange things in 2008) [PS-I have always hated anywhere anyone uses change and rearrange in a rhyming couplet, too]
Beautiful wife and beautiful kids......they should ignore the anti-Royals. If anyone uses any kid, sadly that kid becomes fair game, too.
