No and at first they show the building it is supposed to land on being the first to accommodate such a craft WITH NO RUNWAY.
And then near the end they say it’s a gyro-copter with no vertical take-off capabilities followed by a runway shot of a take off requiring 100s of feet.
Auto Gyro copters have been around for over 80 years and are pretty safe. Hell WC Feilds flew on in International House. Can’t get more drunk than that!
Huggy Bear.
Good catch. As a young man I wanted to buy a Benson, and based on my recollections, that thing is exactly what you described.
This is also billed as the first flying car, which not true at all.
I think a more practical platform for a modern flying car would be designed similar to those little drones that have 3 or more horizontal props. They could be hanging outboard on booms, and when in the car mode brought in closer to the cabin area.
As if people didnt already drive bad enough on the ground
Take a few thousand of the cars on the road and imagine them all flying towards the city at the same time. The good thing is that collisions won’t slow you down.
That is why flying cars will “NEVER” be brought to the mass Market.
Huggy Bear.
If I were charging Scramanga rates for Scaramanga type work, I would buy the best.
Yep. Unless there are some very powerful computers tracking the location of every one of them, there would be deadly accidents all over the place.
Railroads have had years and spent millions trying to perfect that. Still not fully operational. And that’s in 2 dimensions with tracks.
With radar and computational space avoidance programs, this would be preferable.
Hes walkin on Aquarius !
Don’t need to stop to refuel with Tesla’s electric carplane version!
Just choose a hi voltage power transmission line, going in your direction, and skim along top of the wires, refueling all the way. (roll eyes)
Good luck getting license to fly one.
Thanks to the Courts, I’ll bet Islamic fanatics illegally in the country will have no problem getting licenses
