Had Sal owned a Rib Joint instead of a Pizzeria there would have been no movie.

He became my favorite Italo-American actor after he played a cop who threw a guy off the roof of a building in Fort Apache the Bronx.

“known for his roles in “Do The Right Thing”
He played in a lot less forgettable movies than that pizza chit. Of course, it would have been a far worse project had he not been in it.
“2 Days in the Valley” and ‘Dinner Rush” are two that come to mind that are far better movies IMO.

Last week, TCM showed “The Purple Rose of Cairo”, with Danny playing the bad husband of the Mia Farrow character. One of my favourites from Woody.

Truly enjoyed what he brought to his rolls, he was also something rare for Hollywood or entertainment for that matter, married sixty four years! My condolence to his family.
RIP Danny.

I know Hudson Hawk is supposed to be one of the worst movies ever made, but I loved it because of Bruce Willis & Danny Aiello. RIP, Danny.

The outlet reports that he was dealing with an infection related to an injection site and died shortly after his family left following a visit.Wow, that sounds like the drug warnings we constantly hear on TV. This is proof that the worst can happen.

But because how furious I was about the previous administration and the particular person running that administration, I turned in my card to become a Republican because I did not want to be known as a Democrat under that person’s regime. I’m a traditionalist. I have certain values that I live by, and he practices none of those things, so he can never be what I consider to be a great man.”

Was he referring to Bammy or Bubba, I wonder? Those comments could apply equally to either one.

"I know Hudson Hawk is supposed to be one of the worst movies ever made..." According to critics too dense to follow along. I think it's a brilliant movie.
While most comedies tend to embrace one primary style of humor (i.e., slapstick, potty humor, highbrow, sarcasm, etc.) at the expense of others forms, Hudson Hawk embraces the whole spectrum, and shifts gears between styles so rapidly, I doubt the average critic could keep up.
Willis and Aiello made a great team, and I wish they would have done more together.

He was a terrific actor and I liked him a lot. He always thought he was in the wrong era, he wanted to hang out with Frank, Dean, and Sammy and sing.
He gave me a lot of wonderful hours of entertainment, God Speed Danny and thanks.
