Last week, TCM showed “The Purple Rose of Cairo”, with Danny playing the bad husband of the Mia Farrow character. One of my favourites from Woody.

According to critics too dense to follow along. I think it's a brilliant movie.

While most comedies tend to embrace one primary style of humor (i.e., slapstick, potty humor, highbrow, sarcasm, etc.) at the expense of others forms, Hudson Hawk embraces the whole spectrum, and shifts gears between styles so rapidly, I doubt the average critic could keep up.

Willis and Aiello made a great team, and I wish they would have done more together.

He was a terrific actor and I liked him a lot. He always thought he was in the wrong era, he wanted to hang out with Frank, Dean, and Sammy and sing.
