Ancient Egyptian art frequently depicts people wearing cone-shaped headgear, but none has ever been found.
Now an international team of archaeologists has uncovered the first ever physical evidence of Egyptian head cones in the ancient city of Armarna, 194 miles south of the capital Cairo.
The head cones, made from wax, were discovered at two graves in 2010 and 2015. They were found in fragments but researchers have been able to reconstruct their shape.
They provide the first conclusive evidence that the objects actually existed and were worn by Egyptians, according to the archaeologists.

Rather than acknowledge that the shape comes from the head gear itself, for reasons only ancient Egyptians understood, some folks on the History Channel “Ancient Aliens” TV show claim that the shape came from a peculiar shape of the heads of some ancient Egyptian rulers, because those bearing that shape were either aliens or progeny of aliens - aliens from other/another worlds/worlf. I watch the show for comic relief.

"Wheres my honorary doctorate and big money lecture tour?"You looking to join them? Careful, some archeologist will dig you up in a thousand years and claim you were worshipped.

I remember a cartoon by, iirc, Larson, that showed archaeologists of the future that had dug up a rotary phone.
They declared it an ancient method of getting the attention of their gods by dialing a god’s number (and there were obviously 9 gods) and then banging the two parts together to make noise.

Is there money in being worshiped?
What’s the taxes like?
Can I demand fair maidens as part of my offerings?

Probably not, but you get to wear a plastic cone if you want to.

Since they were discovered in pieces, the wicks
were long since deteriorated but it’s still possible
that this is the first instance of headlamps found.
