U.S. Women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe shamed Sports Illustrated for a “lack of diversity” even as she delivered her acceptance speech for the magazine’s “Sportsperson of the Year” award.
Rapinoe took the podium Monday at the magazine’s award ceremony, but she took them to task for only having had four female persons of the year saying, “Is it truth that I’m only the fourth woman deserving of this award? I don’t think so,” Mediaite reported.
Rapinoe went on scolding SI: “Is it true, so few writers of color deserve to be featured in this publication? No. Is it true, so few women’s voices deserve to be heard and deserve to be read in this publication? I don’t think so.”
Sports Illustrated should not have expected simple gratitude from Rapinoe as she has used award speeches to attack her benefactors several times before.

Not going to to try to prove you anything. But consider something, please: the act of homosexuality is a sexual act, only. And it is the choice of the recipients to do it with who they prefer, not just the opposite sex. This is why there are those that go both ways.
So that act of a physical titillation is the real reason for it. And some have different reasons for going same sex and the recreation they get out of it. Everything from fear from many different reasons, to feeling accepted, to being selfish in their physical needs.
But I’m not sure any of it should be considered a mental disorder. It’s possible in some instances, but not a blanket call.

If she is so upset with SI, why even show up for the award?
She should have declined like she did when given the White House invitation. Of course, she got what she wanted. People talking about her when her antics were pretty much forgotten by the general public.

I understand they are under pressure from the left to toe the party line (and broadly proclaim it) because of the influence they may wield; in the end, it just cost them their influence - and a lot of money in tickets, merchandise, etc..
Such pandering to an assortment of anti-family, anti-child mobs makes no sense at all - completely counterproductive, and the worst business move possible. They will never make up that lost revenue/interest among perverts and such.

Yes, like newspapers, facing the inevitable consequence of a culture that no longer teaches the young how to read (regardless of content). Physical books/magazines/newspapers are going the way of the 8-track cassette for much of the population.

I was a huge sports fan through high school. Then right after high school I got involved in real life and didn’t even own a TV for almost 10 years. That broke my sports addiction and my interest in Hollywood went completely away (to my wife’s chagrin).
I did enjoy some sports casually, like the Super Bowl or NBA Championship, but the recent political taint has completely killed my interest. When Tom Brady retires, I’ll be completely done with sports.
I’ll watch the FIFA World Cup every four years (regardless of which teams are playing), and the Super Bowl if the Giants are playing; that’s really about it.
Men’s World Cup soccer is worth watching. The only woman’s sport I want to watch is the one my wife won’t let me (beach volleyball) ;)

I remember watching a Women’s World Cup games many years ago; it may have been Sweden vs. Norway. Like watching two teams of Barbie dolls play; they were good, and didn’t have the masculine builds - or haircuts - of a US women’s team. Wished it had gone to overtime...
