The oceans are losing oxygen due to climate change, with dire consequences for marine life and vulnerable communities and fisheries, a nature conservation report revealed Saturday.
This is the ultimate wake-up call for humanity on ever increasing carbon emissions, according to the report, published at the UN Climate Change conference in Madrid.
The authors say the report, Ocean deoxygenation: Everyones problem, is the largest ever peer-reviewed study into the causes, impacts and possible solutions to the oceans oxygen loss. [ ]
According to the report, areas of water with low oxygen concentrations are expanding, with roughly 700 ocean areas across the globe now affected by low oxygen conditions up from only 45 in the 1960s. Over the past five decades, the areas completely depleted of oxygen have quadrupled.

I get that response alot.......But the truth is, I frequently stay at the Holiday Inn Express........
My thoughts exactly.
A few gazillion of these would work.
Who cares? The end of the world is at hand in 11 years anyway.
Who cares! Remember, according to AOC, we only had 12 years left, and that was in January. We therefore, only have 11 now, so who cares about the oceans in the 22nd century?
One should be aware. There’s also talk of the UN using military force to enforce environmental policies.
hmmmm lets see... plants breath carbon dioxide and create oxygen ....so.... if we raise the co2 level the oxygen level should rise and be absorbed by the oceans problem solved!
Thank you. Amazing.
Right. Feh...

There’s been a lot of stupid & insane talking points to push this socialist trojan horse...but this is THE most insane yet.
Revelation 8:8-9: "Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed."
CO2 was over 1000 ppm in the past- my goodness, how did al the oceanic species ever survive it all?
douche well
Just when did we have the ability to measure oxygen content in water and how quickly was all the Earth’s water tested for it?
It says 45 low-oxygen zones in the 1960’s, but I’ll bet they didn’t measure everywhere then, and took decades to survey everywhere else.
Now it looks like it’s growing since then but is that a trend or just finally getting all the data?
LOL
The oceans have probably changed content thousands of times since they became what they are, H2O.
So doesn’t it seem a little controversial that the melting of the polar caps is increasing the amount of liquid water in the oceans at the same time the oceans are de-oxygenating? So we have a steady supply of oxygen coming from the ice caps but we are losing ground with oxygen saturation. Can they say which is it? They spent a lot of wasted time telling us it’s happening, but they don’t say why or how, just it is. If that’s the case, how can they relate it to anything? The sky is falling.....

[[They think this is bad...wait til they see what God does.
Revelation 8:8-9: “Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.”]]
I might just add- the world has, at the very least, 1007 years to go- We do not have “Just 11 1/2 years left” as the liars on the left breathlessly proclaim! (7 years for tribulation, 1000 years for Christ to reign, then and only then will the earth be destroyed- we likely have a lot more that 1007 years left though- but at minimum, that’s what’s left)
The liars on the left need to calm down, take a deep breath and get to enjoying life instead of stressing out at every turn- the earth will be perfectly fine for at least 1007 more years-
Bull Obama!
Sounds like it would be pretty easy to pump air down into the ocean just like oxygenating a pond.
Article linked worries about unintended consequences.
I say pump the ocean full of nutrients and oxygen and get plenty of crab boil.
