To: Alas Babylon!

It is like the so-called “ozone holes” of the upper atmosphere. The presence grows, then it shrinks again, to no particular or even perceptible upset of the “balance of nature”.

Oxygen, like all gases, dissolves more readily in cold water than in warm water. As water warms upon approaching tropic zones, the oxygen (and carbon dioxide) are given up to the atmosphere. But at depths of more than 1,500 meters, the water of the oceans is at an almost steady 4 degrees Celsius, and most of the water nearer the surface in both polar regions maintains a similar temperature at most depths.

Underwater plant growth generates oxygen, same as on dry land, and consumes carbon dioxide. The cycle may be somewhat slower than within a tropical rain forest, but it is running at all times when there is sufficient sunlight to initiate photosynthesis. A goodly portion of all the oxygen generated comes from sea plants, and is discharged into the atmosphere as the flow of the ocean streams is warmed by either solar activity or undersea geyser vents from cracks in the tectonic plates.

All this totally unrelated to human activity, and at far greater level of activity than most people seem able to comprehend.

Remember, in the first Godzilla Movie they used an Oxygen Destroyer to kill him.

I guess it was more powerful than they imagined.

Too bad nobody has a copy of Dr. Serizawa’s notes.

This is how Godzilla became extinct (at least for one movie).

Best guess is that we only have about 11.8 years left.

Oh My.

The terms will get even more extreme because the underlying basis for them is a hoax.

The global warming nuts will keep raising the stakes and terminology because, in their minds, the people just don't get how severe "it" is getting.

Truth be told, we get "it". We just don't agree with "it".

So the water is just two hydrogen molecules?

Yes. Haven't you noticed that they call CO2 emissions carbon? It's your carbon footprint and all that. Not your carbon dioxide footprint. Carbon. So yeah, go ahead and have a nice glass of cool, refreshing hydrogen right from the refrigerator.

Show us the study with ALL its data (and ALL the details of how it was collected).

You cannot claim it is Science without doing so.

It’s an organized attempt to use more terrifying language. Here’s theColumbia School of Journalism’s recommendations for Orwellian language:

It’s a cycle. Remember gas solubility in chemistry. Warmer water has less gas. Cold water holds more. The effects of weather and temperature on the deep ocean takes at least a hundred years. The surface impact is on a shorter cycle. It takes many years of cold weather to bring the gas levels back up.

Sure basic science, my issue is the idiotic assertion that a “climate emergency” is causing a natural phenomenon.

In order to keep their gravy train on its track,
they will blame anything but the real driver of climate change,
that huge star only 93 million miles away.
