People eating pets is more of a thing in socialist countries. A matter of necessity to stay alive. But sure, keep trying to bring socialism here. Maybe it’ll turn out differently this time. I mean sure, socialism has failed to create happy and prosperous societies in every single case. But we’re much smarter now...never mind that everyone who has failed at it thought the same thing. Maybe it’s just because the right people were not in charge. Sure, every fascist and dictator has felt the same way - that they could do better. We’re damned near starved here in my neck of the woods already, so I have been shooting sparrows with a BB gun. They’re not bad if you know how to fix them. My dog came in handy that time we were flooded and had to live on the roof. I’d shoot the sparrows in the treetops and she would jump in the water and fetch them. I’d say the dog is safe as long as the sparrow supply holds out.
