Fido and Sylvester could be in big trouble, according to Emma Thompson.
The actress issued a strong warning on Thursday of an impending "climate crisis" so dire that people will have no choice but to eat their own pets.
The actress, 60, attended an Extinction Rebellion protest outside of the BBC Broadcasting House in London on Thursday, where she claimed there is "extreme weather" ahead.
"Better wrap up warm, stockpile food and remember there is a surprising amount of protein in the average household pet."

Just more leftist insanity of full public display...they’re all crazy.
Well, sister, you shouldn’t have pets. Owning animals is unethical, or something. Who do you think you are, anyway?
Obamas way ahead of you, Emma.
The man made climate change nuts are using the issue to institute socialism.
If they do, then folks will be eating their pets.
Well Shazam. If Emma Thompson, the climate expert, says it’s going to happen we have to believe her.
It is truly stunning how seriously so called journalists take comments from empty-headed celebrities.
Surely there must be a man bites dog story out there, which is certainly got to be more important news
How many abortions have you had Emma? If so, was that OK? You can murder your baby but eating a dog or cat is wrong?
It's conditioning the people to accept that meat is evil, that there is an impending climate crisis that can only be prevented through global confiscatory taxes that supersede national boundaries, treaties, and laws, and that 90% of the planet must give up their lifestyle to the 10% who will be inoculated and not affected by it.
What a nitwit. Unless you keep only herbivore pets, what do you think your pets are eating? Doesn’t it occur to you that if there is meat to feed pets, there is meat to feed people?
I wonder if some of these leftists even think about what they say before they open their mouths.
People eating pets is more of a thing in socialist countries. A matter of necessity to stay alive. But sure, keep trying to bring socialism here. Maybe it’ll turn out differently this time. I mean sure, socialism has failed to create happy and prosperous societies in every single case. But we’re much smarter now...never mind that everyone who has failed at it thought the same thing. Maybe it’s just because the right people were not in charge. Sure, every fascist and dictator has felt the same way - that they could do better. So sure, let’s ignore a long history filled with nothing but misery and death... and we’ll all end up eating whatever we can scrounge up.
Is that before, or after they eat people? I wonder why she said wrap up warm? Global warming, should preclude any reason to do that. 👍😁 Do I need a sarcasm tag? 🤣
She just doesn’t have a nice enough rack for me to care what she thinks Hollywood.
I think I’ll go buy some steers for pets. I saw John Kerry on the tube today in Iowa; I wonder if he’s going to try his famous line there (Is this where I buy me a huntin’ license?) Did it work in Indiana? Such a waste of oxygen!
Do dogs produce bacon? No? I didn’t think so. My dogs are safe!
Isnt it more like they are expecting 90% of the people on the planet to off themselves, for the benefit of the 10% who want to kill them anyway?
First we should eat all the actors.
We’re damned near starved here in my neck of the woods already, so I have been shooting sparrows with a BB gun. They’re not bad if you know how to fix them. My dog came in handy that time we were flooded and had to live on the roof. I’d shoot the sparrows in the treetops and she would jump in the water and fetch them. I’d say the dog is safe as long as the sparrow supply holds out.
What ever happened to Bo?
