Please FReep this IF you agree and help me get the signatures I need to move this petition forward.
I just returned from a trip to Albuquerque, NM, and they are covered up in homeless people --- some of which are freezing to death on the streets in their harsh winter. They were put on buses and shipped there. https://www.newmexiconewsport.com/are-other-states-sending-their-homeless-to-abq/ I have heard of this happening in other places as well.
I think you assume too much. Just because there are a lot of homeless people there, and maybe some of them came on buses, does not mean any of them were forcibly removed.
I guess I should have just said “I don’t live in Albuquerque so what do I care” -— until MY city is the new receiving end.
Nothing new here...
Atlanta gave the homeless one-way tickets on Greyhound and Trailways
to anywhere they wanted to go just before the 1996 Olympics
to make the city look a little nicer for the tourists...
Find someplace warm? Hmmmm just south of San Diego.... nice and warm.
I completely dissagree.
I live in Texas, and we absolutely would.
However, since Colorado legalised pot and California is in the process of doing the same we will probably ship them there and make our drug laws draconian.
Jails and prisons don’t need to be air conditioned nor heated above 39°F.
See 25.
Follow that prescription.
I believe the island of Molokai in Hawaii has lots of room.
LOL And I'm willing to drive the bus.
Cruise ship to nowhere would be fine.
No booze or drugs onboard. Half of them would jump off mid-ocean.
Even if that were a serious proposal, it still wouldn’t stop other localities from shipping their homeless your way.
Pretty sure Cali is fully legal for recreational weed.
Democrats want your tax money for pensions.
They do not want your burdens like the homeless.
“I am willing to help keep bussing and ferrying them to Marthas vineyard and Westchester as long as they arent being properly cared for.”

In the 90s, some city/town made Martin Sheen it’s honorary mayor. Crazed with that “power” he declared it a haven for the homeless. Rush had fun with it, talking about getting together a homeless caravan to take Sheen up on the offer. Made the news for a while (Rush didn’t actually set up a caravan, tho).
They might indeed refuse. After just a few years discussion of the summer heat and the frigid cold and the bugs in Texas prisons would have them preferring not to go.
I will point out that in the days of Cool Hand Luke chaingangs addicts who were not from the south stayed out of the south.
While we may not fo that far I can see Texas heading in that direction after Trump reshapes the supreme court.
This website has some amazing graphics about where the homeless are coming from, as well as where they are being bused to as a destination:

Hint: They’re being shipped to middle America.
“Over the last 12 years, San Franciscos homeless population has grown from around 6,200 to just over 7,600, according to the city’s counts. During that period, a small number of people in other cities have been given free tickets to relocate to San Francisco. A far larger number more than 10,500 homeless people have been moved out of San Francisco on buses.”
Okay I was the 11th signature. Need a lot by the deadline still though.
PING!
This is why I live in Northern Wisconsin.
Our winters are cold and brutal. Just perfect at keeping out the riffraff.
They are also flying people to San Francisco and Hawaii.
Sheen played in the movie about Homeless Advocate Mitch Synder, made him look like a saint until I read an expose on him and Snyder was a despicable human being who I think abandoned his wife and family.
