Do they really want a person with so little character and self-control working for them?
I don’t agree with this “reach across the aisle” type of thinking. People like the fired employee(s) should not be trusted to handle food and drink for others.
I was terminated from my position because, Starbucks was looking for someone to take the blame for this and to save some face from their company, she told the outlet.
Price said that she tried to make the situation right with the officer before he left the store.
He laughed it off, said it was cool, Price said. I handed him his blueberry muffin and I went back off the floor to continue doing my shift manager duties.
But later, another officer, Kiefer Chief of Police Johnny OMara, wrote on Facebook about his colleagues coffee run.
What irks me is the absolute and total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town, OMara said in the post.
Daughter of police chief in Starbucks cup scandal says he's 'absolutely a pig' His post went viral and prompted Starbucks to fire the employee who printed the labels and also drew a response from a woman claiming to be OMaras daughter, who said he absolutely is a pig.
The Starbucks partner who wrote this offensive word on a cup used poor judgement and is no longer a partner after this violation of company policy, the company said in a statement.
The statement, however, doesnt make any mention of Prices termination.
Was O’Mara told to do this? If so, by whom and why?
Someone should get the answers on the record.
The police chief is soft in the head; maybe he should reflect on if he has the right stuff to hold his own job.
Hell no. I dont want scumbags touching my food or drink. (No. Not a cop. Had a family full of them once though)
Wrong way to go. Starbucks needs to make the firing permament, close all stores for 1 day for compulsory employee retraining, give free coffee to all cops, and the CEO must go on national TV to beg forgiveness, then resign.
Never happen!
our side is too nice to these punks.
This entire story is so lame. Can’t we just let it die already?
I don’t patronize Starbucks anymore and haven’t for about 5 years. I id however go in and purchase a “Tall” last weekend. I gave my name to the “barista” as Trump. Tickled my funny bone when she called out “Trump”. No way was I drinking the coffee so it went down the drain when I got outside.
the person involved deserve to lose there job over this. years ago I had a friend who was working at McDonalds it was closing time and his best friend showed up to hang out at the store before giving him a ride home. My friend had just gotten done cleaning out the deep fat fryer and to be an ass my other friend went up to the counter 3 minutes before closing and ordered chicken nuggets. in response my friend said there is no way he was going to make the nuggets he had better go to Kentucky fried chicken. it was at that moment it was revealed that the three other individuals eating a meal in the store were from corprat and my friend was fired on the spot. this is the same situation for the corporation. You make your store look bad and you loose your job.
Why doesn’t Chief OMara hire the little punk as a police cadet?
Put his money where his mouth is?
In certain areas of the world, bad manners can get one killed.
This Starbucks employee lives in a free nation, but yet, bad manners still have consequences, especially in the service industry.
If she had not learned good manners, which used to be a part of family education, then Starbucks should have educated her before she took ker place behind the counter. The fact is that Starbucks is a Corporate supporter of transformational, progressive socialist politics, and didn;t have the courage to accept the responsibility for the employees lack of training in civil discourse. So they fired her.
At least now perhaps she will have manners. but Starbucks is just as politically nasty as it has ever been, just a virtue signalling corporate culture that has little respect for the deplorables it serves.

Tim Hortons, and Dunkin Doughnuts just provide a decent cup of cofee and doughnuts etc. If you go there you can avoid drinking a politically correct beverage.
If you make a decision to do something, then you should take the credit and face the lauding or the punishment. Tjhe secondary termination was not a shift worker, this was a shift manager that supervised other employees and is held responsible for their actions with oversight and reporting deficiencies in their behavior to higher supervisors.
I’m not sure if terminating the shift manager may not be too strong, possible a counselling and an entry on her company employment records. But, as for the employee that did it, terminate as it is obvious he/she is not mature enough to hold down a position of this type in representation of the company.

My coffee loving wife, who seems to have an almost fire resistant mouth (the coffee must be hotter than hot), can’t stand Starpennies. She says, “it certainly isn’t worth a buck; and the stuff gives me a headache!”
Me, I don’t like hot drinks of any kind. If I can’t gulp it fairly quickly, then it’s too hot. I like the smell of coffee, but it tastes kinda like dirt to me. But I also avoid pop and any caffiene (the exception: a bite of darrrk choklatt a day). That way there is no let down from it wearing off. The best way to help stay alert: exercise and conditioning. And power naps! Lol
Every time I see the Starpennies logo I think of the mythological freak Medusa.
Has the culprit profusely and genuinely apologized personally to the cop he insulted, and cops in general?
If not keep him fired!
