Shoppers werent slowed down at all by their huge turkey feasts.
Consumers spent a staggering $4.2 billion online on Thanksgiving, a 14.5 percent from last year and a record high, according to new figures published by Adobe Analytics on Friday. This marks the first time that Thanksgiving shopping has surpassed $4 billion.

Headwinds for the final numbers... but still winning.
Sent a pkg to my son in Va via Target. Spent $25 and got free shipping and it arrived timely. Very happy.
Asked my other son if he could receive packages. Sure 'nuff. So Mom is off on a hunt.
No amount of Free Shipping and Handling can replace the wonder and joy of the Water and Music Show for a six year old. John Wanamaker’s in Philadelphia will forever live in the minds of the children, now seniors, in that land long ago.
Went early to Petsmart for their Black Friday specials - traffic getting into the shopping center was backed up for blocks - the Home Depot in the same center was packed.
Those headline must be in the file to be pulled out year after year.
Still laughing they pulled out the old headlines of POTUS playing golf on Thanksgiving. Fine that he says he sent the limos out but that wasn’t needed.
Retail is for suckahs.
Places were jammed yesterday. Microcenter, a computer and parts store, probably had 200 people in line by noon. It wrapped around the inside of the store. Credit to Microcenter in that they had a dozen registers opened.
As bad as the days after Christmas when you fight to get in line to return things you fought to get in line to buy before Christmas.
Imagine Black Friday if the economy was being pulled by the Warren Wagon instead of the Trump Train?
Wobbly wooden wheels stuck in the rut with the passengers (consumers) outside pushing.
I used to take my nephew to the Wanamaker Christmas light show. My sister’s only child, he was killed aged 18 in a car crash. She will never recover. I miss your twinkling eyes and dimples, Jeff.

People + More Money = MAGA.

Isn’t it great what Trump inherited from the Obama economy?

The “Trump effect.”
Well I did my part. I bought (online) a mole trap that is illegal to sell in my state.
Woohoo!
What a sad memory. I am so sorry if I inspired that.
Your nephew is an angel and happy he experience the beauty of that show.
Oh no! You did not inspire any sorrow. (And how would you have known?) Jeff was the fist child born to our sibling group.
My sister never liked children and had her tubes tied directly after giving birth to Jeff. He was always a nuisance to her lifestyle even though he was an adorable, delightfully happy child.
Once she let Jeff move to Iowa to live with his dad, her ex-husband. Turns out Jeff was badly abused and neglected. Authorities were called. He was 8 years old. I was so irate I threatened to fight for custody of him. THAT woke her up and she took him back.
When Jeff was in his senior year of high school, my sister and her husband bought a home 300 miles from where they lived in NJ. The day he graduated, they moved away and left him to fend for himself. Two weeks before his death he called his mom and ask if he could “come home” because he was having trouble on his own. She said no.
I know his death will forever haunt her conscience and will never give her another moment’s peace. Secretly, I think she deserve it.
I think everyone has a family member who is inconsiderate or just plain mean.
I apologize for being so blunt, but your sister beats any stories I have ever heard. What in the world causes anybody to be so...selfish and hard.
You’re right about it being something she will live with the rest of her life.
I hope you have a blessed, peaceful Christmas.
Wishing you and yours a happy Christmas and fantastic 2020, Maris. (Off topic but my absolutely favorite episode of Frasier is when he has to borrow Niles’ “slim hipped” squash shorts and ends up in the gay bar. I have it saved on my DVR and watch it frequently.)
They are ALL my favorites, but my most favorites are the four episodes starting with Something Borrowed...
when Daphne FINALLY learns of Niles’ love.
I guess I’m a sucker for the Cinderella theme.
Regards.
Who is the they please?
