A police officer in Oklahoma was dismayed when he bought a coffee at the local Starbucks on Thanksgiving and noticed the name on the label was Pig.
The chief of police the Kiefer, Okla. said one of his officers trekked to Starbucks to get some java for a dispatcher when he received the insulting label.
What irks me is the absolute and total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town, Chief Johnny OMara said in a Facebook post that included an image of the Pig coffee cup.
Chief OMara called the coffee shop and employees there offered to replace the coffee with a correct label. But the chief wasnt buying it.

I hope he didn’t drink it. There’s no telling what the snowflake put in it.

So... one of my on-duty officers decides to do something nice for our dispatchers. Its Thanksgiving Day; our dispatchers are under appreciated as it is. My officer goes to Starbucks to get the dispatchers coffee as a thank you for all they do (especially when theyre working a holiday.)
This is what he gets for being nice.
What irks me is the absolute and total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town.
This cup of coffee for a pig is just another little flag. Its another tiny symptom and a nearly indiscernible shout from a contemptuous, roaring and riotous segment of a misanthropic society that vilifies those who stand for whats right and glorifies the very people who would usher in the destruction of the social fabric. Its another tiny pinprick into the heart of men and women who are asking themselves more often: Why am I doing this?
Just pour the coffee, please. Are we at a point where a task as simple as pouring an exceptionally overpriced cup of coffee is so complicated that it cannot be accomplished without expressing oneself?
As a side note, I called the store and was told theyd be happy to replace the coffee with a correct label. The proverb Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me came to mind.
Thank you, first responders, for risking it all this Thanksgiving away from your families. If youre looking for coffee use a place where you pour your own and youre certain of whats in it.). Stay safe; go home.

He should have demanded an apology and a refund. If both or just one demand was refused, it would further condemn the mindless mob mentality.
LOL!
... a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town ...
Well, the Starbucks employees, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, were working at Starbucks, so the officer could take a break from patrolling and buy coffee and snacks.
Starbucks employees get paid a lot less, too.
Yes, it was a tacky thing to do, but it's not as if they chased him down at a crime scene to force upon him a coffee cup with a rude label. I think the chief could dial back the self-glamorization, hard as that may be now that he's made the New York Post.
if I was a manager the employ would be fired on the spot who did this.
The Chief should announce that if the police are not welcome there, then the police will not enter the store for ANY reason...attention thieves
I haven’t spent a dime in a Starbucks for years. I don’t buy any of their overpriced swill.
Don’t patronize companies that hate you.
I don’t drink Starbucks coffee. I only ate at Chick fil a once. I was not impressed. I don’t watch the NFL or the NBA.I don’t go to Target. I don’t watch the alphabet news or movies with the Trump hating actors in them. I use an electric razor instead of Gillette. I could go on and on. I’m doing fine.
Starbucks is somehow the second biggest fast food chain in the US, behind McDonald’s and ahead of Chik-Fil-A.
In Lynn MA the manager of the White Rose Coffeehouse put up a sign saying they would not be taking part in the “Coffee With A Cop” program and said cops were not welcome there. The muckraking website Turtleboy Sports ran a story on it and there was some backlash. The owner—whose daughter was the manager—quickly issued an apology and said she disagreed, cops were welcome—but damage was done. She went out of business.
It's as if a lot of people freely choose to go there and spend their own money.
I did without coffee upon seeing that my favorite coffee shop had gone out of business. There was a Starbucks and a Whole Foods coffee nearby but I didnt bother
Screw em
Idiots. Just shut up and sell the merch.
Not too many years ago, a store like that would be blanketed with so many summonses that the manager would self-correct the situation in short order. It would also take an extra 30 minutes to respond to annoying drunks or psychos at 2AM.
Never been to Starbucks. Had Chick-Fil-A this week. Always drop a twenty in the red bucket. Have Amazon prime. Voted for Trump and against Romney. Have two thin blue line flags on my truck, and a MAGA sticker. Lifetime NRA and GOA. Make six figures and pay taxes.
I’m not a purist, but I do my part.
Oh yah, and dollar a day FR donor.
Want to label cops as pigs? Do it on your own time and not as an employee on the job representing your employer. Too much trash on 2 legs in our culture of drecks. One thing to NOT be thankful for.
I’m with you on every single item you ticked off.
To heck with’em.
Thanks for posting Johnny O’Mara’s facebook’s response.
I can’t say it any better than he stated.
Thank God for our LE officers.
