The rates of three sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis have skyrocketed in the U.S., according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Jose Bazan, an associate professor of clinical internal medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the spike in STD rates is alarming.
The new Sexually Transmitted Disease Surveillance Report, which looked at data from 2017-2018, reveals concerning increases in the three most commonly reported STDs in the U.S., marking a dramatic turn. Yet not that long ago, gonorrhea rates were at historic lows, syphilis was close to elimination, and we were able to point to advances in STD prevention, such as better chlamydia diagnostic tests and more screening, contributing to increases in detection and treatment of chlamydial infections, Gail Bolan, MD, director of the division of STD Prevention at the CDC, wrote in the foreword of the report. That progress has since unraveled.

I noticed Yahoo managed to leave out the difference between heterosexual disease increase and homosexual disease increase.
While the increases in the heterosexual population are very bad, the overall numbers are significantly distorted by the much greater increase in the homosexual population.
Also neglected is is gay men who occasionally do it with women and give them the diseases. They then pass them onto heterosexual men.
Nursing homes and retirement villages are another area where STD rates are exploding.
You know why they give viagra to nursing home patients?
To keep them from rolling out of bed.
heres what you need to know: Keep your pants on.
Gentlemen: Only ever stick it in your wife. “Wife”, BTW, specifically indicates an XX natural female woman.
Ladies: Only ever spread ‘em for your husband. “Husband”, BTW, specifically indicates an XY natural male man.
Wash your hands after using the bathroom
And don’t cheat on your spouse.
Unexpected.
In the olden days these subjects (like chlamydia) were discussed (or sung) much more discretely,
HPV is near-pandemic. According to the CDC, 79 million Americans, most in their late teens and early 20s, are infected with HPV.

I said good to death because licentious behavior should be punishable
The real disease is leftism. Its the gift that keeps on giving.. misery and suffering.
Agreed - along with the use of PREP. This took the fear of HIV away, back to unsafe sex.
...now they’re a petri dish again. The bi-sexuals spreading to the heterosexual populations. It’s just nature in action. They can deny the inevitable outcome if they want - it won’t stop it from happening.
Free Sex aint free.
My risk of getting an STD is negligible.
What you need to know is that you shouldn’t have sex with anyone other than your spouse, and if your spouse has ever been promiscuous, he or she should see a doctor to verify disease-free status.
“Thank you Tinder and Grindr.”
Let’s be fair here and not deny Mayor Pete his due credit.
