Several students at a Virginia law school are asking the administration to remove portraits of 'controversial' figures, George Washington and Robert E. Lee, from their graduation diplomas to be more inclusive.
Current students, some alumni and staff at the Washington & Lee University School of Law are circulating a petition to allow graduates the option of omitting the university's namesakes.
The petition's statement reads: 'We, the undersigned, call on the administration of Washington and Lee University and President William Dudley to provide students with the option of removing the portraits of namesakes Robert E. Lee and George Washington from their diplomas.'

So then what? They will be getting their JD from "Fill-In-The-Blank School Of Law"? Maybe they just need to go to a different school?
Their resumes should report that they got their degree from some No Name school.

If I am ever in a position to hire someone, remind me never to hire a recent Washington & Lee JD.
Maybe they can change the portraits to Dinah Washington and Spike Lee.
The school should charge extra ($500)for the customized diploma and take orders.

If you are a student, by definition you are uneducated. Nobody should listen to you. The University should tell them that.
Right. Perhaps Snowflake Technology Foundations University would have been a better choice for the whole lot of them.
So will they rename the school now?
At the undergraduate level its a pretty conservative school at least it was when I took my daughter to have a look at it back in 2008.
The Beware of hiring Snowflake University List must be getting pretty long these days.No wonder the current recruiting process takes 6 months for new hires.
By attacking two symbols of the Early USA, they are showing their hatred for the USA and the concept of a free USA. They would turn this country into a totalitarian dictatorship, like the soviet union.
More evidence the Commonwealth of Virginia has tipped over the edge.

Interviewer: “Welcome, young man! I see you have your J.D. What law school did you go to?”
Interviewee: “I went to the Olesanjo Okamundo School of Law.”
Interviewer: “Uh, where is that?”
Interviewee: “At Olesanjo Okimundo University.”
Interviewer: “Uh, where is that?”
Interviewee: “In Virginia. It honors Olesanjo Okimundo, one of the great Virginians!”
Interviewer: “I see. And your course of study focused on …?”
Interviewee: “Social justice! We brought Title IX suits against the University for failing to allow transgendered males that identify as females to compete in women’s sports. In particular, we dealt with women’s wrestling. We were able to argue that a 245 pound transgendered female should be allowed to compete against the other women. The judge agreed and ruled in our favor.”
Interviewer: “I’m not sure this is a good fit. We primarily do complex property litigation at this firm. May I suggest the Stein and Daye LLC down the street? They do that type of thing. By the way, did your school have a previous name?”
Interviewee: “Washington and LEE.”
