Prince Andrew was forced to quit royal duties last night after a dramatic intervention by the Queen and the Prince of Wales.
They took decisive action to contain the fall-out from the duke's disastrous TV interview about his friendship with a paedophile billionaire.
The interview triggered days of catastrophic headlines and caused a string of businesses and charities to desert him.
Following lengthy discussions with Charles, who is touring New Zealand, the Queen summoned Andrew to Buckingham Palace and told him to step down.

Prince Charles friend who posts here indicated this is why Hapless Harry can’t leave the UK. He can have a second home but can’t move to California.
Don’t want any of his relatives here either.
I have to hand it to the Royals and the British press, their scandals are massively bizarre and entertaining. Our U.S. scandals are puny and boring by comparison.

He’s the queen’s favorite son and he won’t be carrying out any more royal duties on behalf of the crown.
While I don’t disagree with your sentiments, consider that there’s a long queue of U.S. citizens who need to be taken in before we can justify seizing a Royal.
