I always chuckle when I see a woman taking a beating that would give Chuck Norris pause, and then turning it around and beating up on the brute that’s been doling out the punishment...of course, sometimes I envy the poor brute as his neck is broken because the hottie leaps up and wraps her legs around his neck as the killing move - what a way to go....

Like Bond making witty one liners and saving the world in his tux while holding a martini at the Casino Royal, Farrah and company acted ditzy but were kind of smart and they kicked bad guy butt wearing bikinis and five grand designer evening gowns and look fabulous doing it. And all with not a smudge of mascara or a hair out of place which is quite an accomplishment considering it was the peak of the big hair era. They may have had guns but it was obvious they had no idea how to use one - and still they never missed. What red blooded American guy wouldn't pay to watch that
It was all totally improbable but it was all campy tongue in cheek so they never took themselves too seriously and they looked great doing it . Everybody had fun, especially the audience.
Like all things on the left, the new team takes itself very seriously. Add to that that the woke of the modern left are the most joyless, toxic and soul destroying fun suckers the the world has ever seen. Even at their worst, the Soviets were at least dead drunk most of the time and lived on ironic gallows humor.
No fun, no humor - just a bunch of self important, angry women in ninja suits living out their man hating emasculation fantasies for all they can squeeze out of 75 mega bucks.
People, men and women both, don’t want to pay for that kind of crap.

Sexism is probably why the earlier “Charlie’s Angels” succeeded in the first place - big boobs, blond hair, not overly bright. If the current iteration flopped, and for the life of me I don’t understand who ever saw the crying need for another reboot of “Charlie’s Angels”, then maybe it was because people aren’t as sexist?

That film she shot here in Pittsburgh about two platonic friends who fall in love when they start making porn together was a real piece of crap. I felt embarrassed for people I know who were associated with the production.

Aliens was gritty and realistic, and nobody objected to the lead character being female.
I think what people hate is the preaching, especially the in your face sort of stuff. Misandry also doesn't work, because it would seem to me that most of the people who want to see action movies tend to be male and they want to identify as the hero, not as some sort of submissive weenie.

Banks is probably correct in her comments that men don’t want to see female action-hero movies. I guess she shouldn’t have made the movie. Men also don’t want to go see movies with two males kissing each other either. She can call it sexism, but I call it stupid to make a movie that does not have an audience.
