OMG!!! FABULOUS!! Almost as good as “If you think I’m Sexy”!
Which one’s Thomas?
Wow. This is so cool. It needs a Godzilla, though.
I’ll bet he has engineers with small faces on them.
The trains are awesome but it’s the infrastructure (buildings, bridges, rails) that make the show for me.
Amazing hidden talent.
Wow! Wonder what gauge the train is, HO?
AWESOME! Proving we are all Forever Young.
At heart
Wow that’s awesome. I use to have an N gauge setup and I came home from school one day with my mother telling me she sold it because it took up too much room and I spent months on it. How nice.
Awesome! Very nice!
Great hobby. Wish I had more time and space to pursue it. Well, money too!
Wow!!!!
Stewart is British, but the cars are driving on the right side of the road. I guess he decided to make an American city.

Love the patina of age and wear he gave it. Really adds to the realism.
Interesting that he patterned it on an American industrial district rather than a British one. He says in the article he did that because he was living in the USA when he started building it. He also mentions that he worked on it while he was on tour — he basically brought his workshop along with him on the road. Who knew?
It looks a lot like New York just after World War I before Robert Moses tore out the rail lines along the Hudson and built the West Side Highway.
That’s (to misquote Oddball) a mother beautiful train set.
I’m jealous. Guess I’ll have to get to work on mine now. :P
