A Strange Glitch Sent Tons Of Mysterious Text Messages To Phones Nationwide
Huffington Post ^ | 11/7/2019 | Jenna Amatulli

“Can you open door?” read a text message received by HuffPost Senior Culture Writer Zeba Blay on Thursday morning. It was from her mother, who was nowhere nearby.

Senior Food and Style Editor Kristen Aiken received a text from her grandmother on Thursday that read “Nice looking boy!” Her grandmother rarely texts and they hadn’t been talking about a boy.

Numerous people woke up to odd text messages like these ― sent from friends and family members, exes even! They seemed to make little sense. The messages appeared disjointed, not relevant to any current or ongoing conversation. To add further mystery to the ordeal, people weren’t just receiving these messages. Others were accused of sending them ― despite not having any evidence in their outgoing message logs.

One reader, Debra Achatz, told HuffPost in an email that she received a text from her husband of 50 years that simply read, “Dakota.” He died in June.

Achatz also noted that the message wasn’t like anything her husband had sent her in his lifetime. Though, she said, “he did travel across the country in [January] 2019. I think it’s a longshot, but he could have texted me that he was in North Dakota. Not like him though to drop the ‘North.’”

This happened ot me this morning. My girlfriend who is in Colorado sent me a text "LOL...what? and sent her a text What? And she said "your text at 2:42 a.m." what do you mean "Take it off?" and I told her several times I was sound asleep at 2:42 a.m. She sent me a screen shot. And I told her I did not send that text. She didn't believe me. Then she asked me if it was meant for someone else. I went to my Verizon store and asked them, they had no idea what happened. Then she found this article. case solved.

Me also but mine were emails. Personal conversations between people whose names I know, but have never met or corresponded.

The fact mine were emails throws some doubt on their “explanation” involving sms only.

From: https://www.foxnews.com/tech/amazon-alexa-apple-siri-google-assistant-hack-lasers

“Voice assistants such as Amazon’s Alexa, Apple’s Siri and Google Assistant can be hacked by shining a laser on the devices’ microphones, according to an international team of researchers.

Dubbed “Light Commands,” the hack “allows attackers to remotely inject inaudible and invisible commands into voice assistants,” according to a statement from experts at the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo and the University of Michigan.”

Perhaps a variation of the above is happening.

The issue was reportedly caused by a maintenance update made to “messaging platforms of multiple carriers in the US.” https://www.wired.com/story/mysterious-text-messages-valentines-day/

Probably part of the Deep State’s plans. Another mass murder shooting could be in the works.

What everyone involved has is common is probably a specific Free app that does as expected....takes all your phone data and abuses it.

Powered by Google.

Candy Crush would be a example.
