On the issue of increasing tolerance and resignation in regards to drug abuse, imagine being attacked by addicts or pushers who have no criminal history for lack of previous arrests and convictions. Imagine being forced to defend yourself against them. Imagine being charged and incarcerated because of the habitual dishonesty from such trash.
Even if laws and policies allow drug abusers and distributors to be on the loose soon after arrests and convictions, enforcement of drug laws is very important. Your life or your freedom might depend on it after a self-defense situation.
I met some “non-violent” marijuana dealers in my cab when I drove livery.
They didn’t SEEM very “non-violent”.
In fact they seemed pretty nasty and all business and if you took their customers you were gonna get hurt.
Badly
....RIP Detective Del Rio...you paid the ultimate price... as far as these perp trash.....Amish...? Irish...? some other kind of “..ish”.....?
I expected to read of a no-knock raid at 5:00 AM.
Nope. They knocked and announced. The officer was shot while going down the basement stairs.
This is what motivates cops to shoot first at kids running away, at aunts standing in their homes, at ordinary citizens eating ice cream while watching TV.
I wish I had an answer for all this. But there isn’t one. Better for one cop to die in the line of duty while following protocol, than for a “suspect” to be shot by mistake.
I met the same, but different people. I think they have clones all over the world. To them it is snitches get stitches, and they are everywhere.
The dirt bag fentanyl dealer perp deserves the federal death penalty for this.
I have said it before and will say it again. Drug dealers are not “non-violent criminals.” Their poisons are leading cause of death in this country. They kill hundreds of thousands of people a year.
Drug dealers need to be public executed, like in Asia.

Can confirm. I had an office in downtown San Francisco when they legalized dope. One dealer opened a “dispensary” right in my office building. I couldn’t believe it. He had a hand blown off from who knows what. All kinds of doper riff raff showed up in my building and I bailed out of there eventually after I caught one red handed trying to steal my fax machine.
“This is what motivates cops to shoot first at kids running away, at aunts standing in their homes, at ordinary citizens eating ice cream while watching TV.”
And Yorkies, Beagles, pugs...etc?
Yeah not all pot dealers are the crazy, funny college burnouts like on TV
And WHERE do people think even THEY get their pot from??
There’s a LOT of money in pot still and a guy I knew who JUST sold pot back in the day was arrested with 100k and 3 shotguns in his basement.
Some non violence.
“Drug dealers need to be public executed, like in Asia.”
Just the ones who force innocent citizens to buy their shit.
I can’t help but think of Jim Ignatowski from TAXI the sitcom.
Great show.
That seems to work in Singapore, anyway.
WOW.
That’s a little too close to home.
Dont blame you for getting out.
I can’t say that the heavy end users I know are very dangerous.
But they are burned out and in the clouds and some have had children with very severe neurological issues.
Was this police officer killed by a minority criminal? It doesn’t say anywhere in the article of the criminal. This would be important for statistical purposes.
Thank you for sharing what you saw. We can learn from it.
Many of us, all over the country, have had family members, friends or neighbors go through nightmares with drug problems that started in various ways. We try to keep anything that they can hurt themselves or others with away from them and try to help them get free from the slavery of a drug. We hope and pray that they won’t continue in their addiction to become a dealer.
* Many addicts and dealers, on the other hand, are downright mean and proud of their meanness. They threaten or attack us for exposing their activities or trying to rescue someone from them.
* They try to kill us on the roadways, when they feel like having tantrums.
* They attack conservatives for politely exercising their right to free speech (MAGA).
* Their mothers falsely accuse conservatives to depose them from jobs and offices.
* They publicly disrespect their elders with phrases like “OK Boomer.”
* They hide their faces under hoods and often change from one bizarre grooming appearance to another when intending to commit crimes.
* They’re ruining our economy with their diversions of funds to drug abuse, their thefts and many other criminal activities.
* They’re overloading our medical and social services.
* They’re ruining the children through their injections of brainwashing into public education.
* They perpetrate maniacal hoaxes like the global warming hoax.
* They push to violate human rights with dangerous animals and out-of-control populations of diseased, feral animals (animal worship accompanied by misanthropy).
* They struggle to use government to violate our human rights as written in our Bill of Rights.
* They advocate for a coup to implement hard socialism in the U.S.A. while slandering and falsely prosecuting conservatives.
I think we’ve had enough. That list of anti-American offenses is not complete.
Well to be fair. Shooting Yorkies and pugs should be acceptable.
Cute purse type dogs don’t really count.
You said it man.
Each bullet point is true.
I don’t know a heavy drug user who is conservative.
I’m sure they exist, but I have never known any.
Well the coke users voted Republican. But that’s an expensive party drug so that would make sense. It’s what the lawyers and businessmen I picked up in the cab used.
And some businessmen I knew when I worked in Manhattan investment banks.
Make that MANY I knew.
That’s a good point. But how can we maintain fiscal conservatism without some elements of social conservatism (re. vices)? What is real conservatism?
Just noticed that some topics for the post above this thread went away (crime, news, culture), and I didn’t even put it in the sidebar.
The whole country is going to pot. ;D
lol
Yeah I HATE when people say “i’m fiscally conservative but liberal on everything else”
It NEVER works out if it’s done that way.
