Slovakia doesnt have its own pavilion at the expo, but it does have a business mission of companies with innovative potential here, Deputy Prime Minister for Investment and Informatisation Richard Rai (Smer) said, as quoted by TASR.
The event hosts more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries. The Slovak companies have a chance to make contacts with Chinese companies in Shanghai and then in Beijing, Rai added.
Flying car impressed China
The flying car is being showcased in Shanghai at the request of the Chinese. The Slovak firm behind the project, which has completed the first flight tests, has a number of meetings with Chinese investors scheduled for this week.
The Chinese market is indeed has a lot of potential, but it is a wild goose chase at the same time, Klein said.
Look at the car industry 10 years ago: carmakers looked down at the Chinese market with disrespect, but they would be at a loss without that market today, Klein said, as quoted by TASR, adding the same applies to the aerospace industry. The Chinese investors must not ever leave their offices!! Chinese drivers are some of the worst on this planet!!! (And my Chinese wife agrees.)
Yeah, they need cars that can fly..... The accidents would be epic.
LoL, agreed, however its about the technology, if it’s feasible to actually get that thing into production.
There goes the technology. Live and learn, Slovakia.
Nothing about the tech that matters.
Seems a typical scam “flying car”... well, no.
NO! No flying cars!!!
People can barely control the one they drive as it is!
I believe it requires pilot license, for now, at least
It is funny how often people think something is new.
they’ve been promising me flying cars for at least 50 years now, and it’s the damn Slovaks who are getting them first!
I like this one.

The Black Fly - somewhat autonomous in that it has a Back Home button like a lot of drones.
will probably be banned by the GND since it’s powered by an IC engine ...
Does it drive on the road? Don’t see no wheels
No it’s a “personal aviation vehicle”.
I’m wondering what you do with it after you land it in your field. Just let it sit there?
People must have been astonished at what they saw over the course of 40 years or so back then. Electricity and all manner of gadgets connected to it, cars, radio, movies and movies with sound, airplanes. Even TV was being pioneered back in the late 20’s. Breathtaking I bet.
