A Popeyes customer has been stabbed to death over the restocked chicken sandwich during nationwide chaos over its return to the menu. The incident happened at a branch of the fast food chain in Oxon Hill, Maryland on Monday night and was sparked by someone cutting in line, according to police. Pictures from the scene show a poster for the popular sandwich in the window of the taped off restaurant. Fast food fans have been seen desperately trying to get their hands on the burger after it returned to restaurants across the country on Sunday.

Doing their best to keep the stereotypes alive
same here (Homewood/Birmingham AL) but make it 30+ cars. And I’m sure it was a long wait because the service at that particular Popeyes SUCKS, unless you are the right ethnicity.
The “Air Jordans” of Chicken Sandwiches.
So some people are really really excited over a chicken sandwich? Like getting mad? Like killing someone?
Apparently the human race still has some leftover genes from uncivilized brutes. I’ve heard of fights in department stores over a bloody toy! Makes me wonder if the designation “homo sapiens” still applies.
Humans are a very interesting species—can’t decide if we are apes or angels....
I don’t think the trigger whether it be a toy or chicken sandwich or whatever is the crucial factor even though for us it just makes us shake our head. Rather it has to do with the inner values of the people involved where almost anything perceived as disrespect can lead to a murderous outcome.
“Fried Chicken Matters”
Satan’s chicken.
There is a Chick-fil-A off the freeway near my house. I used to use the U-Turn to go under the freeway to head north on the freeway. However, as you go under the freeway and come out in the north direction, there is a Chick-fil-A immediately on the right. The traffic going in and through the drive-thru is almost always backed up to the U-turn, thereby rendering the U-turn useless.
I stole that reply and put it on facebook however, I did credit you with it!!
How many more people have to die before this sandwich is banned!
OMG ping!
“trying to get their hands on the burger “
It’s a chicken sandwich, you silly brits.
The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast!
I drove past that Popeye’s on my way to and from work at Ft. McNair for nearly 20 years. I’ve purchased chicken from there countless times for the 30 years I lived in the Oxon Hill/Camp Springs area. I never encountered your sarcastic comment at the store, even when it was crowded. And the staff was always courteous. And 1) I was never disappointed with the quality of their deep fried chicken and 20 I especially liked their onion rings.
Also, I’ve eaten in the store multiple times. I was shocked at this incident happening there. It is definitely uncommon for that store.
On my way home earlier, I passed by them again and was going to stop and get one but once again, there was a line up of cars........They must be really good
Yes, Popeye’s has always had chicken and shrimp. The sandwiches are something new it came up with in the past. I never bought one, I like the regular chicken, mild, not spicy, too much.
Hey, Grey....
Lighten up Francis. It was all in humor. Some pavement dwellers decide to stab one another over Chiken...and the jokes write themselves.
I am sure they do a fine job there. Thats why the crowds show up.
However, the area can be dangerous, especially as it’s on the border with S-E DC, a noted crime zone.
I remember back when I was a liberal Democrat, how I thought, like so many of my fellow political mutants, so many people were dumb, running around in their pickup trucks, shooting guns, and consuming resources, even though the world was being polluted and we were supposed to be peaceful.
Then I became a conservative. Then I figured, people are smart enough to run their own lives. Leave them alone. I supported Trump’s deregulation and became more aware of the awful things the type of government that I used to support was doing to people. Just leave them alone.
It is dismaying to realize that I was right about people the first time, albeit for different reasons. But I’m still leaving them alone. Why should the rest of us suffer the heavy hand of government because of all the idiots. Dummies.
