Re-think that.

Don't have to, thought before I posted having run large concessions for decades. If the packaging has it on it, and you are not a licensed distributor, they can absolutely stop you.

KK licenses its franchisees to use its name. It can control who uses that name.

Try opening a joint that sells soft-serve ice cream and call it Dairy Queen. Or an oil change shop called Jiffy Lube. You’d get shut down in a heartbeat.

When I was in the boy scouts we’d have doughnut fundraisers where we had to sell 20 dozen KK each.

Everyone dreaded it because it took a whole saturday going door.

I live across the street from a large church so I’d wait until Sunday and put on my uniform and stand at the corner when church let out.

I’d get rid of 20 doz in 15 minutes.

When I was a young steveo, I rode my bicycle to school every day past a quickie-mart and bought 5 packs of Jucyfruit gum for 25 cents. When I got to school I would sell four to my friends for 10 cents a pack and keep one for myself.
I would save the extra 15 cents gross profit and every few weeks (along with my fifty cent per week allowance) buy a new fishing lure or bait.
Everyone was happy with the arrangement.

I see a problem, do you?

The people buying them apparently don't see a problem.

Guess what.....Krispy Kreme is going to help this young man and will let him operate with their blessing....and much more.

In other words....they couldn't stop him so they decided to "see the light".

My bro had a paper route. We bought extra Sunday papers and stood outside the church and ALWAYS sold out. Saved them the trip to the drugstore. We were great entrepreneurs.

“Why did they leave Minnesota ?”

They expanded too fast and had to close many new locations.

I see signs in Chinatown at the big grocery stores:

Items sold are not for re-sale.

Well, there go all my Chinese gum sale plans.
