Full Title: Former House Speaker Paul Ryan reportedly wants to use his position on Fox's board to 'do something' about Trump
Former House Speaker Paul Ryan thinks his new job as a board member of Fox Corporation will finally allow him to "do something" about President Donald Trump, according to a new report in Vanity Fair.
"Paul is embarrassed about Trump, and now he has the power to do something about it," a Fox executive told Vanity Fair.
Ryan has been openly critical of Trump since leaving Congress. In several on-the-record interviews for the Politico correspondent Tim Alberta's book, "American Carnage," Ryan didn't mince words about Trump, saying he wanted to "scold" Trump "all the time."
Former Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin was the speaker of the House for the first two years of the Trump administration, but he believes it is his new job as a board member of Fox Corporation that will finally allow him to "do something" about President Donald Trump, according to a new report in Vanity Fair.
Ryan, who joined the Fox Corporation board in March, is now said to be one of the most important voices pushing Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch to transition Fox News and pivot away from Trump, according to Vanity Fair.

We still have never trumpers in high places trying to control events and kicking the can down the road to a better day for them and their crew. The game of “its your turn now” comes to mind. These never trumpers are all dirty like the rats and are all involved in this criminal crime of the century and worried about the beginnings of a grand jury and indictments
Faux News-We Distort, You Deride
Gym rat shoe-sniffing prick.
Have you seen the rest of the board and upper management?
Ryan isn’t an outlier.
Wait, whut?
The little prick was SPEAKER OF THE FREAKIN' HOUSE but it is only NOW, as a board member of a rapidly-fading network, that he can do anything.
What a beta-male.
Ill believe crap like this when I see names named.
Im sure this will be a popular thread for those that are eternally pissed off at everything and everyone.

Paul Ryan, Romney...what other proof do you need? Do you not believe they come after PDJT? Give yourself courage to believe the truth, which is why they try so hard to stop him...
it isnt because they dont like him. Rush even wont touch the real reason. Truth is they want him out by ANY means necessary, many republicans included, because of their laundry list of illegalities. Gun running, heroin importation, sex slavery, etc. Not to mention selling us out on insider trading, foreign lobbying, fake charity foundations for influence payments... Rush wont touch this as he knows they would literally have him bumped off. That is the real truth, not that they hate him or he isnt one of them.
Ben wondering who besides the Murdoch boys was pulling the strings. Now I know! Cant even call him Ryno anymore! Full blown quisling!
By law board members have a fiduciary obligation to the stockholders. A board member using his or her position to pressure management to take action negatively impacting profits, or the value of assets, is acting contrary to the fiduciary responsibility requirement. However the SEC is a paper tiger when it comes to regulating boards and the DOJ typically only gets involved in cases involving large financial swindles, tax evasion, and deliberate financial reporting irregularities.
Individual stockholders dont have the resources to sue boards. Financial institutions owning large amounts of stock are too invested in the interlocking relationships between Wall Street and corporate insiders.p to rock the boat. Hence Ryan is pretty much bulletproof to do what he wishes.
The average citizen has choices. Dont own the stock, cancel your cable subscription so you arent funding Fox through bundled fees, and dont visit any Fox websites. If millions take this action, Fox will be punished. However dont count on management or the board to understand why. If only a few take action, Fox will not notice.
Ryan wont care no matter what happens. Three or four cushy board seats, and a few paid speeches a year, will allow him to live a good life whether or not he chooses to renter politics. Not to mention his government pension and the ongoing proceeds from insider financial deals he was able to legally make during his years of public service. Ryan has crossed the finish line in the game of life.
One truism. People may initially go to Congress to change the corrupt system. Those who go and choose to stand for re-election year after year, are the system. Those members of the system who do what they are supposed to are rewarded well.
Weekends on Faux Snooze is a non starter. Forget it.
That backstabbing leprechaun lookalike mick.
OANN on Roku is a much better choice than Fox News.
To Paul Ryan:
“Physician, heal thyself”.
WTP find ourselves wanting ‘to do something’
about Paul Ryan. A small twerp with grandiose
ideas.
Someone please ask him to go deer hunting.
Yup. This a hole is not much worse than the perpetually sprayed on tan a hole he followed. The gope did not like fact voters selected one of the outsiders over their corrupt cohorts. It became obvious ryno was stifling trump immigration agenda from day one for example. A backstabbing POS.
He never said I am against this or that because under it all he is a coward. Just like Pierre dilecto.
No, you demand a conservative purveyor that is the equivalent of CNN or MSNBC. There will never be such a viable channel because there are not enough purist conservative viewers to support the ads required.
Only if a conservative billionaire funds such an effort will it come about.
Roger Ailes the conservative genius realized that fact, that very simple fact, and created Fox News. People who eschew Fox are a lot like people who eschew Rush. They do not watch or listen and really don’t know what they are talking about.
BTW....... I have never seen Paul Ryan as a contributor.
Thanks to this a-hole, we lost the House.
Special Report and Media Buzz are still worth a look, though I reserve judgment to see who replaces Herridge. A great loss. And the Levin interviews on Sunday night are excellent.
Fox has the loathsome Karl Rove. Ryan would be more of the same.
