Oscillococcinum,- a lot of people think it is snake oil but I try that, too, if I start to feel sick.

Also real manuka honey from New Zealand.

Someone else suggested Manuka Honey to me. How do you know you’re getting real stuff?

“Also real manuka honey from New Zealand.”

Manuka honey has antibiotic qualities. It is strong enough to get rid of MRSA and other bacterial infections, especially as a topical, but a cold is usually viral and needs an antiviral. They are currently studying honeysuckle as an antiviral, which apparently has the same effectiveness as Tamiflu (https://www.sciencealert.com/honeysuckle-tea-can-treat-influenza-a-viruses-and-possibly-ebola).
Getting honeysuckle blooms out of season is hard. Since elderberry in a member of the honeysuckle family, we use elderberry wine, although they aren’t studying it.

Manuka honey never heard of it...

someones making a packet of money from gullible Americans...

My New Zealander Mum used to put Vicks in a bowl of hot water...with a towel over our heads we would breathe in the steamy vapors...it broke up our stuffiness every time...

Plus she rubbed Vicks on our chests at night...

I don’t remember ever missing a day of school for a cold...
