If the House votes on Articles of Impeachment (not a vote to inititiate an impeachement investigation) and they pass and are sent to the Senate, then Senators will not be able to campaign until the process is complete. Does not impact the House members.

Why would they have to stop campaigning?

No. Not at this stage.
That happens (approximately) once Articles are sent from the House to the Senate.

I doubt if the newbies in Congress are ready to put on a suicide vest for Adam Baghdadi.

...people running for the presidency have to stop campaigning.

Yes, senators (by rule) must stop their campaigns and devote 100% to the Senate trial.

That said...

These are leftwing communists/socialists who have no intention of following silly senate rules...'cuz they are above the law.

“ IMPEACHMENT VOTE TO STOP CURRENT SENATORS AND CONGRESS PEOPLE..”

That’s the job of citizens. Where are the patriots?

Senators will not be able to campaign until the process is complete.

The Senate writes it's own rules. Turtle can simply create a Senate rule that says the trial will be conducted by his looking at schitt's evidence in a private room for as long as it takes him to toss it in a circular filing cabinet and passing judgement based thereon.

Turnabout is fair play.

Joe Biden is not currently an elected official, so the rule benefits him the most. He can distract the Hunter attention and start smelling hair and groping women.

If the House votes on Articles of Impeachment (not a vote to inititiate an impeachement investigation) and they pass and are sent to the Senate, then Senators will not be able to campaign until the process is complete. Does not impact the House members.

If this doesn’t sound like fake news, I don’t know what does. In fact, it sounds stupid.

Show me where that rule is listed in the US Constitution.

Does not impact the House members.

True, but the front runners, with the exception of Joe Biden, are Senators. The rest are "also rans". Of course, the Senators grandstanding at the trial will effectively be campaigning...

“The Senate writes it’s own rules. “

Nancy wanted the impeachment thing over and done with by December. This means it will be forgotten by the voters by the time November comes along. (Because voters have zero memory.) I believe the Republic strategy is to one, get all the Dems in contested districts on record for their vote and, two, to make the process last until November.

I think all of these fake news headlines are being taken way out of context. From what I have read of the letter, they are not voting on initiating an impeachment inqiry, they are doing a show vote to give Shiff, and others an air of legitimacy. From the letter:

“This week, we will bring a resolution to the Floor that affirms the ongoing, existing investigation that is currently being conducted by our committees as part of this impeachment inquiry,”

This will change nothing and Trump will still have plenty of reason to decline to cooperate and fight in court.

I don't think the newbies like AOC and Omar are smart enough to understand the process. Of their handlers might be, I'm sure.

Maybe that’s why Hillary went after Tulsi. She the only female candidate not a senator.
