Trump---"We'll build a wall along Colorado..."

President Trump said that in addition to border wall construction in New Mexico and Texas, “We’re building a wall in Colorado.”

Speaking in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Shale Insight Conference on Wednesday, Trump appeared to flub his geography when it comes to the U.S.-Mexico border.

“We’re building a wall on the border of New Mexico, and we’re building a wall in Colorado. We’re building a beautiful wall. A big one that really works, that you can’t get over, you can’t get under. And we’re building a wall in Texas,” Trump said. “We’re not building a wall in Kansas, but they get the benefit of the walls we just mentioned.”

Gee, here is a state that legalized things that are, now still, federally illegal! So, sure, let them go! The feds just seal off the “spice route”!!

Can you build one around New York State and Maryland while you’re at it?

Didn’t get any delegate votes from Colorado in the 2016 convention, so down the memory hole, haha.

A wall around Boulder might be a good idea.

“In context, this was a humorous remark, but, then these people have no sense of humor. Trump was pointing out that a border wall was a wall around each state to keep out crime and protect the citizens of those particular states. He was not being literal about building a wall around Colorado.”

Who knows? Maybe you are right. Perhaps 0.1% see this as a sophisticated 3D chess move. Until he explains it as such the rest of the country will be laughing at him.

I think he meant that the wall they’re building in the south will protect Colorado as well (which has had a drop in illegals). Don’t forget that many of these “immigrants” are not Mexican or even Latin American, but are Africans, Chinese, Middle Easterners, etc. smuggled in by the gangs.

We needed a border wall on the west side 40+ years ago to keep the Kah-lee-for-nyahns out...Too late now...They’re here and brought their Leftard ways with ‘em...The virus has taken hold...

I’ve been advocating landmines since I joined 2 decades ago . . .

Too messy, noisy, and not 100% deadly. Not an easily-solved problem.

Along the Colorado River...

Given what Kalifornia is becoming (suburb of the 'failed state' of Mexico), a wall along the river wouldn't be a bad idea...

Colorado River crosses the US border from the California, Arizona border into Sonora Mexico?

In watching the speech it looks and sounds like just a slip of the tongue. It didn’t sound like he was making an intentional joke. Saying that we’re not building a wall in Kansas was a good recovery.
When he’s giving impassioned speeches 4, 6 or more hours a week I don’t see it as a big deal. Of course the MSM will spin one misspoke word into all kinds of theories.

We are currently building border wall on the Colorado River, around Yuma Arizona.

Mighty thirty foot bollards wall system, with great patrol road and loads of technology.

That area around Yuma has long been the third most heavily trafficked corridor, after the Rio Grande Valley, and San Diego.

That whole area has been funded for barrier (except for a few miles of Indian Reservation, which is getting just the technology).

All of the big three corridors are funded for closure, and are now under construction. San Diego is mostly done, the Rio Grande Valley is just starting to lay rebar. Yuma is in the middle - well underway, with multiple segments progressing simultaneously. All three are scheduled to be effectively controlled before the end of President Trump’s first term.
