Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has been hospitalized after breaking his pelvis during a fall at his home in Georgia just weeks after a similar accident left him with heavy facial bruising and 14 stitches.

The 95-year-old suffered a 'minor pelvic fracture' on Monday following the incident at his home in Plains.

Carter, who is the nation's oldest living president, was admitted to the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for treatment.

A statement from The Carter Center said the former President remains in good spirits and looks forward to recovering at home.

Is there any chance that this fall could have knocked some sense into him?

I keep meeting people who have met Jimmah and they say he was a butthole. My understanding is that he doesn’t like the notoriety that comes with being a former president.

He was a horrible President, almost as bad as Clinton but certainly not as terrible as Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

I always forget Carter when thinking of the honest Democrats during my lifetime. Carter have been misguided and inept, but he just went back to where he lived after he left the White House. No Martha's Vineyard or Chappaqua for him.

Portion of brain that controls common sense.

Answer:
If you mean by “common sense” the way you appreciate and/or interpret things or situations, then it is most certainly the Cerebrum...

Explanation:
What you describe is a cognitive process, and that is done in the Cerebrum (more specifically the Frontal Lobe(s))

So unless this fall caused a frontal lobotomy...

I had a brother in law who was a Democrat. Walter Mondale came to town, as a presidential candidate, and they needed a driver, so he volunteered.

He reported Mondale as being a complete jerk.

On the opposite side, most reports of Republicans show them as being extremely friendly and gracious to ordinary people.

95 is a good run, I don’t care who you are. Prayers that his end will be merciful.

I recently lost a family member at 94 due to complications from a fall and hip fracture. This might just be it for Jimmy.

Well it’s about damn time! But you know that he’ll get one more dig in about Trump before he goes the great peanut farm in hell.

95...broken hip...3 months, tops. The good news for him is that he has outlived his legacy of being the worst President ever.

My dad was a farmer in CA's Central Valley when Reagan took over. We were elated! Carter all but destroyed farmers. (Later, Obama and Feinstein took destruction to a new level.

Is there such a thing as a “minor pelvic fracture” in a 95 YO patient??

I volunteered for Reagan at the RNC in Dallas in 1984. I was the greeter for celebrities at the holding trailer. Wayne Newton, Liddy Dole, Charleton Heston. It was awesome!
