He croaked about twenty years back, today he would be into global warming.

Gotta keep the gravy train moving.

Fake scientists calling a famous fake scientist “fake.”

Bo-ring.

He long maintained the hereditability of IQ and personality traits

Of course that’s just crazy talk—the idea that one might inherit IQ and or personality from one’s parents. Everyone knows that IQ, unlike other traits such as height, skin color, body shape, etc. is distributed completely randomly across the human race.

The article leads with ideas like heritability of IQ that remain unrefuted - the actual scandal revolves around this:

"now another aspect of his work has come in for serious scrutiny, the research he carried out with his junior collaborator Ronald Grossath-Maticek on relationships between personality and fatal illnesses such as cancer and heart disease."

One of the telling remarks about an article on academic fraud is when they don't actually tell you what the fraud.

For instance, this statement "He long maintained the hereditability of IQ and personality traits."

We will leave aside the IQ question. Let's go to the point about hereditability of personality traits. Anyone familiar with dog breeds knows that that is the case. Border collies have one set of traits relevant to say, hearding, and Afghan Hounds another trait, perhaps useful for surviving in the cold weather and harsh climate of Afghanistan but which will drive any normal human being insane. Wolves are different from domesticated dogs. There is almost no such thing as a trustworthily domesticated lion. Domesticated cats are commonplace.

Of course there are variances person to person, dog to dog, etc. But there are consistencies as well.

The tempest is about his work with another scientist, Ronald Grossath-Maticek, about "...strong associations between suppression of aggressive feelings – which he refers to as rationality/antiemotionality – and the subsequent development of lung and other cancers."

Seems the research was financed by a tobacco company. You know, the last target of the Lysenko Left.

Hans Eysenck is also guilty of not condemning Charles Murray and Richard Herrnstein, the authors of The Bell Curve, a book that among other things makes correlations between race and IQ in the US.

It was common, during the Inquisition, to dig up dead heretics and re-try them. It's nice to know the Left holds to tradition.

I’m glad I grew up in the time when they actually measured your IQ every year.

Astrology is really stupid in the modern age. When you see a pattern in the sky, you have to remember that the stars that make that pattern are at drastically different distances from earth, meaning that if you move to the side, the pattern will be completely different. There is no meaning to the star patterns.

Psychology is not a science, nor is Psychiatry.

They are professions using guessing games designed to make money from telling others what’s wrong with them.
