Then by the 1990s with all the illegal aliens, homeless, and international business travel to 3rd world countries, most hotels have problems with bed-bugs. The key is to eradicate them from the rooms as fast as possible. It is impossible to eliminate infestations these days. The first thing I do at a hotel upon check in is check the bed for bed-bugs.
