The Nationals were the last team I would have picked to win the NL when the playoffs started.

A NY-DC series is the baseball version of Bernie Sanders and wife in skimpy bathing suits.

Trump just brings winning everywhere he goes. Hockey powerhouse (granted there was Russian collusion) and now baseball. Too bad they suck at football and basketball, but most cities would be happy with 2 out of 4.

I was at my brother's home earlier this year, playing dominos, and watching the ball game - Nats against the Padres. The Nats hit back-to-back-to-back-back home runs and crushed the Padres. I started watching the Nats in the evenings when I came home from work and they are an exciting team to watch. The exemplify team-work and each playing for the team, not themselves. I was never a baseball fan until this season and have watched more baseball this year than in my prior 61 years on this planet.
Counting the regular season, the Nats won their last eight games, won the one-game playoff, took three from the Dodgers, and swept the Cards. They have won 16 out of 18 games and are the hottest team in baseball right now.
I want the Nationals to win the World Series. GO NATS!!!!

The Nats better hope the Astros finish off the Yankees quickly.
Since the start of the Wildcard, the teams that sweeps 4-0 have only won one World Series.
The Nats will now sit around for week and be cold, while the Astros or Yankees will be fresh.

Rendon and Soto the 20 year old to tie it in 8th against LAs best pitcher Now crushing the always tough cards. A sweep 🧹! The cards who put up 10 in the first in 5th game vs Atlanta in Atlanta ! They got a total of like 5 runs in 4 games The swamp has the best pitching in the game I hate DC. but love this team. Im a philly guys so NL EAST

Did Justin Verlander’s struggles in Game 2 end the Astros’ World Series hopes? | Get Up

(smart move by the Astros, pulling Verlander and letting relievers help the Nationals swamp ‘em with runs)
We fans of the Tigers (hey! we’re out here!) loved Verlander, probably still do, but no matter how much of a terminator he is during regular season play, to put it kindly, he’s not been fantastic in the playoffs, either with the Tigers (btw, Max Scherzer of the Nationals and JV were Tigers teammates) or the Astros.
